The house had their halfway party last night, and as is customary, had a photo cake of the houseguests. They ate Brent and Whitney but left the rest uneaten. (Eleven people and they only eat two slices of cake? And they call themselves Americans?) Oddly enough they even had a small amount of booze for the party which is brave on the part of BB with the live show and a comp tonight.

Claire and Derek X would still prefer to keep Britini but can't find the votes, so Britini will be going by either a 7-1 or 8-0 vote. Azah may toss her a vote, but maybe not. The Cookout have decided amongst themselves not to tell evictees that there is a Cookout. Will one or more of them break that agreement and spill the beans to evicted houseguests? Will Julie? We'll have to see. (My money is on Hannah spilling the beans to try and win jury votes. Tiffany could also. Both are pretty strategic players. Xavier and Kyland could also try to be the ones to spill the beans. We could end up with most of the Cookout breaking their agreement and telling evictees the truth. Azah and Derk F may feel compelled to spill the beans in an effort to let Britini know why they turned on her.)

There's still no clear target for this coming week. Claire wants to put up Xavier and Kyland. She had Derek X on board with that for a while, but he's waffled a bit in conversations with Hannah. Whether he's truly waffling or just trying to keep from telling Hannah the truth is hard to know. (Derek X and Claire seem to have figured out the Cookout and aren't really sure what to do about it.) Tiffany still wants Sarah Beth out. Alyssa seems relatively safe this week. Claire may be pretty safe also. Derek X is still a biggish target for some on the Cookout side. Likely as a backdoor target due to his comp ability.

Sarah Beth has been dealing with a lot of headaches in the house. The lighting inside is pretty intense for filming and she seems sensitive to it. The stress of being in the house doesn't help matters any.

Nothing official on what the comp will be tonight and the last I checked no posts on it being an endurance comp. BB likes to promote those in advance to encourage people to sign up for the live feeds. The long setup time implies an endurance-type comp, but so far, BB hasn't confirmed it.

We have a show tonight! On tonight's show, we'll pick up the supposed cliffhanger heading into the POV meeting. (There was no suspense. Everything had been agreed to well in advance.) Kyland will use his POV to save Claire and put up Britini. Alyssa will decide not to use her POV. Britini will be the target (much to her great dismay) and we'll hear the talk of who to vote out when it was pretty much set in stone from around Saturday. Britini will get one last chance to annoy America with her rap stylings and then be shown the door. Then we'll get to see if the houseguests or Julie tells Britini about the Cookout. With any luck, they'll then start the HOH comp and we'll see the conclusion on the live feeds.

Something I forgot to mention is that Alyssa and Claire were having a top-secret, whisper-whisper meeting yesterday about something and quickly dropped the secret agent routine and started talking normally when Derek F lumbered into the room. I only saw about five seconds of the whispering and couldn't hear anything due to the stealth whispering. Were they talking about the vote? The Cookout? Whose face to eat next on the halfway party cake? Or something else? I don't know, but it's possible Alyssa is with Claire and Derek X in knowing about the Cookout and plotting against it.

Maybe BB will show that whispered conversation tonight? We'll have to see. The feeds just switched over to them and in just a few seconds Derek F came in and the talk stopped, so who knows what they were talking about. It seemed like an intense conversation though. More intense than one would expect for the vote or whose face to eat next.

Good Morning everyone!

I think Gardenman sent some of his cooler weather to the west coast yesterday, and knowing it wouldn't be here for long I took full advantage of enjoying the cooler temps and nice breezes. It started with a trip to Dunkin for a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and an array of seasonal treats.Then, it was off to the park for Emma's first exercise since her ordeal. She was so excited to be back at the park. Yes, Dunkin' is already in full fall mode and I'm here for it. I really prefer the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew at Starbucks but for some reason they think it's still summer so Dunkin' it is. If only every problem could be as simple as Starbucks vs Dunkin', lol.

I don't think I missed much as far as movement in the game although I'm sure there was a lot of strategizing--especially by those who thought there was a chance to keep Britni in the house.

My guess is that's what Claire and Alyssa were whispering about...Claire trying to convince Alyssa to vote out Big D but Alyssa won't go against what X tells her to do even if she entertains the conversation. That's if that's what they were discussing but I'm not completely sure.

Last night's episode was good. I'm glad the OTEV guy kept his vomit and snot to himself this year. All they really had to deal with was the jelly. He was a bit insulting but maybe that's just BB getting them ready for Zingbot who is notorious for not holding back.

I was a little surprised at how obvious Azah and Kyland were in throwing the comp. Seems like they could have been a little more inconspicuous than just standing there waiting for the other person to win. They might as well have started doing laps in the pools of jelly.

I don't think the throwing even mattered as the (previous) Jokers, who had a 50% chance of winning, couldn't pull it off and Alysaa would have done what Ky wanted with the veto as she would have gone to X for instructions. As it turns out Claire wasn't too happy and Alyssa won a comp by default so the throwing was all a bit pointless.

And again, the pov ceremony was pushed to the Thursday episode. I wish we were going to able to watch the entire hoh comp on live feeds but, alas, it seems that won't be the case.

Zingbot could still call out the throws. If not Azah's, which was so blatant that she tossed the answer card to Britni, but Brit won't be there for Zingbot. He could possibly call out Alyssa's non-win win especially since there's not much else to say about her game other than her showmance. It was mind boggling when she was in the dr saying "Look Christian, I won something!" I was like, uh, no, you really didn't. You were given something. Even after the comp she was asking people if they thought Ky threw it. I mean...c'mon girl!

I find it to be inappropriate for Britiny to threaten the houseguests with her karate. I hope the school administrators who hired her are watching. I can just imagine how she conducts herself outside of the house by threatening people who cross her with her black belt skills. What a little psycho!

The idea of an evicted player bequeathing their BB Bucks to a player of their choice is an interesting one. Say Hannah knows she's DX's closest ally and that she's likely to get his BB Bucks. Will Hannah now be motivated to get DX evicted?

There isn't likely to be a buy back, and definitely not in the next two weeks before the twist is ended, so they wouldn't be held for that. And, as interesting as the bequeathing scenario is, I think the most likely thing is that they are simply now out of play.

Hopefully G'man will have more insight into what happens to them when he comes back to the thread.

As much as I agree with your premise that no one should be threatened in the BB house the truth is that Britni's bark is much worse than her bite. She's gets very worked and up and spouts off but she will likely go out like a lamb.

The producers know how she is and likely prodded her into saying the things she did just to add a little spice to the episode. Yes, she does have a choice of what to say but she's a bit like an erupting volcano when she's mad and they're very good at getting what they want out of a player.

I don't think the BB Bucks can be transferred to anyone else. Once someone is gone, the money goes. We'll see what happens with the HOH tonight and then the nominations tomorrow.

To the best of my knowledge, CBS still hasn't said if we're seeing the HOH comp live tonight. That's kind of odd. What kind of an HOH comp takes three full days to set up, but isn't an endurance comp?

Tiffany is cutting Kyland's hair now. (She kind of butchered Derek X's the other day.) Sarah Beth and Claire are starting to get ready. Live shows are fairly routine at this point. Britini still doesn't know she's a goner. Xavier is planning to put up Claire and Tiffany, but backdoor Derek X if he wins HOH. He could have the slightest little problem if Derek X won POV and used it on Claire. He'd pretty much have to take out Sarah Beth or Alyssa and he's allied with both.

I'm very excited to see who wins hoh tonight. Whoever it is needs to keep their hands off of Claire and DX!

If I had to choose one of them to go I'd go with Claire because as much as I like her she's done little in the game but ride Tiffany's coattails. I still like her though and would much rather lose SB and Alyssa first and probably in that order.

Interesting scenario above. Here's my off the wall guess as to what could happen.

1. X could threaten to replace Claire with Hannah and tell DX Tiff has the votes to stay so Hannah would go. Now, X would never actually do that but DX would likely believe him.

2. If there was no stopping DX from using the veto on Claire X would have no choice but to nominate SB. He'd either have to come up with some lame justification for it or just say it is what it is.

Then there's always some unknown something the roulette twist might bring.

Threatening to put up Hannah would be bold, but maybe useless since Derek X might opt to keep Claire over Hannah. That could be a problem for Xavier. If you make that threat you pretty much have to stick with it. Would he? Would Tiffany stay if she was up against Hannah? Derek F had a blowup with Tiffany and Azah's not a fan of Tiffany's. Tiffany could be a goner.

@gardenman - Enjoying your reports and views on what's going on in the house. You mentioned the stealth whispering. It seems this season there is so much whispering going on and much of it without words on the screen that we have to turn our volume way up just to try and hear. Are you having the same issue?

This is all just conjecture as this exact scenario coming to fruition is fairly unlikely but I don't see it being a big problem even if it did. No, that's not true. It would be a problem because it would mean X could be exposing the Cookout but it's not a problem that would actually put Hannah or Tiffany in danger because, yes, X could threaten to replace Claire with Hannah and absolutely go back on it if it didn't work to dissuade DX. This is the BB house where it's okay to bounce a check and promises are made to be broken. Knowing X he'd come up with some reason however unbelieveable it might be.

As to the whether Tiff would stay over Hannah, I'd say she would have a very good chance. Tiff and Big D are fine. They had a blow up last night and when all was said and done they came to a good understanding. Tiff may not be Azah's favorite CO member but neither is Hannah. I think both would vote for Tiff to stay. But, that's not to say you don't have a point or I might be wrong. She could be a goner in that situation...it's just a situation that has very little chance of happening.

This I feel I can say will 100% certainty...X will never nominate 2 CO members for eviction until they're down to final 6 or he has absolutely no other recourse.

100%...should I change that to 99? No, I think I'll stick with 100.

I have the same problem with hearing when they whisper. I've found that using earbuds solves the problem.

Now my problem is feeling like I'm wearing earbuds even after they've been removed. It does go away after a while.

I think they blatantly tell them what to say in the Diary Room. Many things they say while in there sounds scripted. I swear last night I heard Briitni mispronounce a word. I can't recall what it was. I have either senioritis or post-covid fog (I had covid in January), and forget a lot these days.

Yeah, the whispering gets annoying. I typically watch the feeds on my big TV with my surround sound system. I crank up the volume during whispering then they'll change the feeds and deafen me when people aren't whispering.

All this conversation has me wondering--do you think that one of the CO members would flip on the others? I know you've brought it up several times but the further we get into the game we get more of a feeling for how dedicated the six are to the alliance. At least that's how I feel.

I'm not asking if you think it's possible. Anything is possible. I'm asking if you think it's probable. I don't see any scenario where they have a choice to keep the six safe and they don't but I'm wondering if you feel differently.

Different topic ~

What would be interesting to me is Claire or DX winning the hoh and nominating two CO members. Now that I see as a problem for them especially if one of them doesn't win veto--or possibly even if they do. Anyway, we'll know sometime--hopefully by tonight--who won and what their intended target is. Then we can talk about this with more clarity.

I wrote the word clarity and immediately thought this could be an omen. Maybe a Claire win tonight?

I think the Cookout will break up. Derek F talked about blowing it up. If Derek F blows it up, who targets him? The Cookout? The non-Cookout? Both sides would have bigger targets. Could he win in the final two against anyone in the Cookout? Probably not. Could he get the five Cookout votes if he was up against Claire, Alyssa, Sarah Beth, or Derek X? Probably. If he wants to win, that's his path.

Tiffany has said repeatedly that she's there to win. Can she win in the six? Probably not. Could she win against Claire, Sarah Beth, Alyssa, or Derek X with five Cookout members on the jury? Yeah.

Most of the Cookout want to keep their side alliances. They can't do that and keep the six intact. Something's got to give.

By the way, they're saying the HOH will be crowned on the show tonight. That'll be interesting. Not the slip and slide then.
