Lifetime Movie: Will Ferrell "A Deadly Adoption"

I was channel surfing and came across this. Farrell's character was in a boat with a child, and a woman was after them. The woman had a cut across her right eyebrow. They did a close up and the cut was above her left eye. They zoomed out and the cut was above her right eye again.

Funny how I just tuned in long enough to see that. Was it just a bad editing job, or was the whole movie filled with stuff like that? Knowing Lifetime, it will probably air again. For those who watched, did you like it?

You'd be surprised how many mistakes you can find in movies if you look close enough.

That one is pretty funny though.

I'm gonna have to watch for that scene! LOL! Lifetime has shown it back to back 3 times tonight! I was darting in and out of the room during the other 2 showings and didn't see the end either time. Hubby and I are watching it from start to finish now.

So far, I like the parts I've seen. That preg. girl was gooooooofy! We have never seen Will Farrell in such a serious role. Don't know if you are a soap fan, but the little girl in the movie plays "Faith" on Young & the Restless. She's so cute.

I watched it and it was entertaining. Kristen Wiig was very good as well.

Will Ferrell was an executive producer. So, while it was a typical Lifetime movie, I suspect you could find a number of "tongue in cheek" moments.

Missed the beginning but it will probaby be on today so will watch for the goofs!!

I recognized the kid who used to play Faith and wish she was back--good actress!

LOL I guess it was just my timing to tune in on one editing error! Since W Ferrell is known for his comedy, I wondered if there was more to it. I'm going to see if I can DVR it next time it's on.

I watched it while I was sewing. I can't believe Will Ferrell would associate his name with such a cheesy, predictable drama. It's 90 minutes of your life you'll never get back. This was supposed to be a "secret project" of his, and I can see why.

I watched it and I was waiting for the punchline the whole movie. Maybe it's because they are both comedians but I just couldn't take it seriously. It wasn't the worst movie I have seen but I wouldn't waste my time watching it again.

It was really lousy. Will Ferrell's character was so whiny and wimpy. If I were his wife, I would have left him at the dock

I watched it and all I can say is that Will Farrell should stick to comedy. I just could not take him seriously.

I couldn't either and I could see where the movie was going because there've already been so many Lifetime movies just like this. Same theme, different people. I just passed this one up.

Was this supposed to be a parody of Lifetime movies or something? I don't think Will Ferell promoted it . Did he appear on any of the talk shows to plug this movie?

I liked it, but wasn't sure it was meant to be taken seriously.

The movie was a parody of the typical Lifetime movies, so the ending was way over the top and it's even possible that was intentional.

I found that most of the movie was too spot on for a parody. They played an older movie the next day which was SO ridiculously over the top that it was, unintentionally, a much better parody of most Lifetime movies. It was called The Wife He Met Online, I think.

It mentions that this was done to celebrate Lifetime's anniversary. The actress in example #3 is from the scene I mentioned in the OP. Notice where her cut is. .

Thank you to everyone who gave a review of this movie. After reading them, I'll save my time and not watch this. I love Will and Kristen as comedians so I'll stick to watching them in that genre.
