Oh my! She wasn't that old. I watched their reality show until it ended. In that we got to know the boys and Alma. I'm somebody with mother issues and she is actually one mother I've seen on tv who didn't anger or annoy me.

RIP dear Lady. My heart goes out to the family. Donnie is my favorite. He always seemed so sweet.

Oh my. This is so sad and you know the family is devastated. She was the backbone of that family and you could tell when she spoke, that you better listen to her or else.

Does anyone know what happened? Had she been sick? Bless her heart and my prayers go out to her family. Losing a mom or a dad is heartbreaking.

Alma had 9 children.

Mark, Donnie, Paul, Robert, Jim, Arthur, Tracey, Michelle and Debbie.

Mama Wahlberg was heavily featured in the A&E series "Wahlburgers" ... which aired for 10 seasons as it followed Mark and Donnie's older brother's ambitions to create a burger joint that eventually became famous and expanded throughout the New England area.

According to her A&E bio ... Alma was a hostess and greeter at her sons' burger joints but she had previously worked as a bank clerk and nurse's aid to help her family make ends meet. The entire family lived in a tight space while growing up in Dorchester.

Paul honored his mother when he opened an upscale Italian joint in Hingham, MA and dubbed it Alma Nove ... an homage to Alma and her 9 children.

I’m like many of you in that I watched the reality show they had on a few years ago.

She was fierce when it came to her “children”.

She took a little ‘getting used to’ in that she was outspoken.

I liked the way she backed up her kids in their adventures and at the same time was one of their most outspoken critics.

I realize I’ve made oxymoron statements when describing her. However, in my opinion, it’s one of the best ways to describe a loving mother.

Kinda like, “I can say negative words about my kids....but if you did you’d be my enemy for life”. Ha!😉

I think she was a bad smoker and drinker. Had a very bad raspy voice.

I just read that she was suffering from dementia. Donnie posted something in July 2020 stating she was suffering from this terrible disease. She may have had other things she was dealing with but this was the only thing stated. May she RIP.

She didn't have an easy life as her children were growing up. Wonderful the way they made her feel special as they made their fortunes.

Aww so sad and shocked to hear this news as I did not realize she was sick.

I also watched and enjoyed their reality show. A lot of laughs for sure!
