Young & Restless spoilers for Monday November 30:

While preparing for Abby and Chance’s big wedding, Jack and Jill can’t help but feel nostalgic. (Wonder if they’ll be recalling how much damage their relationship did back when they were fooling around behind the back of her husband, who happened to be his father!)

It wouldn’t be a wedding without a special guest. Today, Nina — aka the mother of the groom — arrives, played by Tricia Cast.

What’s behind Abby’s change of heart? Could she be experiencing cold feet… on her wedding day?

Young & Restless spoilers for Tuesday December 1:

The first families of Genoa City come together to celebrate the wedding of Phillip “Chance” Chancellor and Abby Newman. This also happens to be the day on which the soap will be airing its 12,000th episode.

Young & Restless spoilers for Wednesday December 2:

Things are looking bad for Billy as evidence mounts that he might have been the one who picked up a gun and aimed it at Adam. (Aimed it badly, we should add, given that they wound up hitting Chance!) Today, Victor becomes the latest to question Billy’s innocence.

As the wedding festivities continue, Nina presents Chance and Abby with a very special surprise.

Having been reminded in recent days of the highs and lows experienced by the Abbott family over the years, Jack takes a moment to make a promise regarding the future.

Young & Restless spoilers for Thursday December 3:

Lily and Billy have been dancing around one another for weeks, but it looks as if they might be ready to mix business with pleasure today as things between them definitely take a turn toward the steamy!

Summer may have thought that her connections make her borderline untouchable on the work front, and yet Sally is ready to push all her buttons.

Abby and Chance’s honeymoon takes a decidedly unexpected turn.

Young & Restless spoilers for Friday December 4:

Victor and Adam have crossed swords repeatedly over the years. But proving that family ties aren’t easily severed, Victor can’t help worrying about Adam’s future.

What better way to end a week celebrating the legacy of The Young and the Restless than by having longtime pals Nina and Christine reunite?

@Annabellethecat66 Moving over to the new thread to answer... I actually think Abby's real husband (the new Chance) is pretty nice looking... Of course, they aren't featuring him at his best... I think, sad as it is, we're going through a stage where being attractive might actually be a liability for men in the entertainment industry... It's like it's the day of the 'average' Joe (or even the below average Joe...), and looking at what makes it onto TV these days, I have to agree with you, most times it just ain't pretty... As for handsome soap actors, there aren't many... I think Chase is pretty cute over on GH and I personally think both Peter August and Brando are hot, but I wouldn't say either of them is extremely good looking... I agree with you that this show could use a guy with some serious star quality...

Well, it's not like there's a lot to choose from. The actor who plays Billy is way too skinny. His face is so thin it looks (to use an old expression) it looks drawn, almost skeletal-like expression.

This replacement for Chance must be on cloud 9 right about now.

I've never seen him in anything, yet here he shows up on the most amazing time on this show! What are the odds?

This is certainly boring, listening to Abby boo hoo the entire show!

Come on, let's get this show going.

Oh! I watched (well re-watched) the Halloween party (dress up) they showed the other day! I can't imagine how much it cost to rent all of those costumes. They were beautiful and authentic looking.

Hey @Roni18 I saw your post on the old thread and those here... I'd like to smack the snot out of Abby... Just what we needed, more fake drama... Just marry the man... Yes, Lily's back... She was gone for about a year, but they appear to have opted for her to return... More's the pity... Never cared for her... I'm liking new Chance (even if they do need to tame his eyebrows) but supposedly the other one will be back at some point... My Thanksgiving was quiet but pleasant, hoping yours was good too... All that said, I thought today's show was pretty good... That makes three decent shows in the last week... I fear that on top of everything else, the world must be tilting on its axis...

Doesn't anyone prepare for weddings like we do in real life? We only had seven months between engagement and wedding and many venues were already booked. It seems soap opera weddings are organized in a week. I'm happy for Abby - just marry the guy!

Oh but Auntie @AuntG... on the soaps, they all have mansions they can command the use of at a moment's notice... And, of course, they own restaurants they can close to the public for their own private events and receptions without worrying about the lost revenue... No need to worry about venues like mere commoners...

I thought todays show was one of the better episodes in a long time. It was

nice to see some of those flashbacks. Of course, the flashbacks with Billy

and Victoria were from not that long ago being he is the 4th Billy or so.

Everyone looked pretty nice for the big day of Abby and Chance. The only

dress I did not like at all was Mariah's. That velvet dress was so unattractive

to me as it clung to her and didn't flatter her that well.

Abby looked pretty. I expected her to be in a full white gown or something

but I think this is her 2nd wedding. Tons of boyfriends but I only know of

her being married to Stitch. Not that it matters, because in t.v. land, anything

goes. Her flowers looked more like mostly greenery but overall it was a beautiful

wedding.

Also glad that Mariah's love could not make it and sing. That would have

probably ruined it for me.

I haven't seen today's actual wedding yet, but thought Nicki looked lovely yesterday. Her dress was pretty, she looked rested and youthful and as though she'd slimmed down quite a bit... Agree @threecees, I didn't care for Mariah's dress, nor do I get why she would be Abby's Maid of Honor... Also agree, nice there was no Tess there to warble... It was bad enough having to ensure Devon as the officiant, which also made no sense at all...

I also noticed how close the actors have been lately. Abby hugging Ashley

and was it Victor? Sitting close with many others as well.

Not that way on B&B

Beautiful picture. Can you imagine how happy Melissa must have been

feeling to an unfortunate terrible situation of the regular actor having to

step away temporarily, and hopefully he is fine, then getting her real life

hubby in at the exact time of her t.v. wedding?

Also today was Y&R's 12,000th episode!

@threecees They've certainly been trying very hard to connect this wedding to the show's better days and to its history, but for me, a little goes a long way... I enjoyed the more minimal flashbacks late last week and on Monday, but thought they over did it yesterday and it just began to seem like filler...

Added to that, I never cared for the Nina character nor for Tricia Cast, who plays her, always having found her sweetness best in small doses... Hope she's not around for long...

I too hope the actor usually playing Chance does well in his recovery, but every day they feature the current actor I feel more strongly they should keep him... He's just better in the part and frankly, looks more how one might think Chance Chancellor should look... I never thought the casting of the other actor was very good... That said, I'm sure he'll be back...

Abby did look pretty, but then she's a pretty woman... I can't say I cared for that bouquet... It looked like somebody went out to the turnip patch and dug it up... Was half way expecting to see carrots dangling from it...

Was sort of curious that Kyle and Summer wouldn't be at the wedding... After all, Abby is family to both of them and yet there was Mariah, front and center... Made no sense...

As for the distancing, it had been fairly obvious on this show until the wedding, what with virtually everyone sitting in that tiresome park on opposite benches... B&B seems to be the most glaringly obvious about it... General Hospital either hasn't been enforcing it or has much better blocking because you don't notice it much at all and haven't since the show returned... To a point, some of how obvious it is also gets down to having a capable director and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that General Hospital excels in that department too...

I, too, thought it very strange that Summer didn't show up. Also was surprised that Billy-Boy did!

I, unlike many, can't wait for the other Chance to return. This one doesn't fit the bill for me.

Anyways, very glad to see three days of the wedding over and done with!

@eddyandme Soaps always drag out 'big' events and it used to actually build tension and anticipation, but these days, at least for me, not so much. I'm sort of 'meh' about Abby anyway, and more or less just wanted them to get through it. Nope agree to disagree, far prefer the current Chance. I don't dislike the other one as much as I did when he first showed up, but wouldn't miss him at all if they kept this guy around.

@eddyandme I agree with your post.

The entire time I was watching Abby and Chance’s wedding, I was thinking how this is really going to screw up all of the times on this soap these two actors will (for whatever reason)reminisce about their wedding!

It’s going to show her marrying another person, unless they go back to filming the wedding again. At least the part where they say their vows.

One of the neat things about watching a soap is watching as that particular character can reminisce about his or her past.

I found myself trying to remember what scenes were done with this Chance character (as far as closeness).

If memory serves, I think most of his scenes were done with Abby.

As most of you know (soap watchers all know) that scenes aren’t necessarily shot in accordance with the story lines....they sometimes jump around according to the availability of the actors.

On another subject I was surprised to learn that at the age of 88, actor Jerry Douglas is still alive.

I used to wonder why he never popped in in person. I guess when he walked away, it was for good.

Every show...every movie set has one or more people who’s entire job is to make sure the Covid rules are followed.

I‘m thinking even this Covid person and is or her ideas of how rules should be followed is VERY subjective.

It’s almost as if the Covid person on Y&R is less stringent than the Covid person on B&B. I realize they are most likely 2 different people since they are most likely shot on the same day.

I know I saw where the shows all must have this Covid specialist on hand when filming but I can’t find it right now.

Reference was made that its its similar to people who make sure animals are safe and protected when used on TV or movies.

I’ve also read where (in order to protect the stars) there is someone who determines how much nudity, if any, is necessary, etc. are in the vicinity when filming is being done.

No wonder it costs so much to go to the movies these days and why we see an inordinate number of commercials on our favorite TV shows.

Except for Billy's presence, I loved the wedding today. The flashbacks were perfectly placed as the parents reminisced about their children. For a few brief moments I thought I was getting sick because I kept getting chills as I watched.

Nice show yesterday. Just enough reminiscing to make it touching but without getting maudlin... It was a lovely wedding, something soaps used to do in a big way, but seem no longer to do... That said, I really wish they'd have done something with Abby's hair... It literally looked sort of like it might have needed washing... As far as it goes, I wish they'd do something about Abby... She just seems never to get past the girlish giggling and it really is time they had her grow up a little... I don't know if the girl simply isn't a very good actress or if this is how she's being directed to act, but it's become rather glaring and somewhat annoying to me... I see Abby maturing into a sophisticated woman, not continuing to behave like a giddy school girl...
