Just had to shut off Grimm

I just can't take violence and bloodiness at all. Too much for me. So I'll go in and cancel the series again too. Monroe was due a visit from his parents, but I'll have to forget it. Bye Grimm.

Anyone else feel that way too?

I haven't watched Grimm for a long time for exactly that reason,there's just too much violence. Another show that is getting too violent for my taste is The Blacklist.

I'd watched the series since it started. This season I had them stacked up on my DVR and last week turned on the first episode. I made it about three-quarters of the way through and it didn't have my interest and I deleted it and the rest. I just found it seemed too dark and I didn't enjoy it as much as I had in the past.

Agree on the blackist show, I can't watch that either.

I guess I'm in the minority, I really like it. Love the fairy tale aspect and the imagination the writers' have to think of all those Wesen names and their background stories.

I like Grimm. It's one of those shows where the violence doesn't bother me because it's too farfetched. I get a kick out of the Wesen names, too, probably because I know German and so many of them are German based.

The serial killer shows bother me and I don't watch those. People being tortured because of someone's sick mind is not my idea of entertainment.

I love the Blacklist, although I have fast forwarded through some stuff on that show.

I LOVE Grimm--I think it's one of the best shows on TV--so inventive and fantastical. Monroe is my favorite character--really since Day One when he said "you know, it's the sidekick that always gets it"--LOL!

I so agree about Blacklist. Its such an excellent show but the gore keeps increasing and I find it upsetting.

I'm a Grimm fan too and Munroe is also my favorite character....it's just fantasy so the violence surrounding htis series doesn't bother me like it does in real life drama.

When Grimm premiered, it was about the same time as ABC's Once Upon A Time. I thought each was intended to be something light and whimsical, in the realm of classic fairy tales. Boy, was I wrong! I stuck with OUAT for more than a year before finally giving up, but I never made it through the premiere episode of Grimm, chiefly due to the violence and gore.

Similarly, I thought Criminal Minds was going to be like the CSI franchise, but instead it was extremely graphic and intensely disturbing, therefore I decided never to watch Criminal Minds again.

I must agree, as several previous posters have noted here and elsewhere, that they enjoy The Blacklist, despite its often explicit depiction of violence and brutality. I totally love James Spader as Red and wouldn't miss my weekly Blacklist, yet I find it inexplicable and perhaps a tad illogical that I'm drawn to this show while simultaneously being repulsed by others that are virtually identical in theme and content.

so funny to read this as my dh and I were just discussing this! The violence part doesn't bother me - I just close my eyes to the stuff I don't want to see. What bugs us the MOST are 1. the Juliette character and actress - totally annoying! and b. the whole story line with the pregnant woman in Germany or wherever it's supposed to be. We have no clue what the whole plot line with Capt. Rennard is about (although he is a total hottie!) and they just lose our interest whenever they show that story.

oh and forgot to add - We used to watch and love Criminal Minds as well but agree with previous poster - it's gotten so dark and disturbing we no longer watch it at all. Too bad because it was a good show for the first few seasosn.

I watch crime shows all the time on Discovery ID, all crime, all the time, but gotta say Criminal Minds was a little too creepy real for me and that's not something I say often.

Totally agree with your statement above! I keep hoping they will kill her off and bring in a different actress.....she really is "totally annoying", and we aren't the only ones who think the same thing! Gotta' love Grimm, though!
