I'm a bit late with this, but there's some good movies today starting at 10:30 a.m. ET. First, It Happened on Fifth Ave., Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, The Long, Long Trailer and Meet Me in St. Louis. @Oznell , I'm sure you're a fan of some of these.

Every so often I check out the Movies channel which is separate from TCM. They do have quite a number of great movies and I DVR many. The only problem are the commercials which I fast forward through on my DVR. The Movies channel is worth checking out.

@Love my grandkids , no it's not TCM, it's the Movies channel. I have RCN cable in eastern Pa. and it's channel 43. I think it's out of Philly and is owned in part by Fox.

I am a fan, that's a great list, @catter70 ! We don't get the Movies channel, unfortunately, but thanks for sending out the alert. Anybody who watches even one of those films today should have a great time.

@catter70 Oooh I see. Never have heard of that channel and we don't get it on Dish. Sounds like a good one tho.

OH Catter!

Thank you so much for writing about the movies shown today on the Movies Channel. I got home just in time to watch the last half hour of It Happened on Fifth Avenue. Any movie with Charlie Ruggles and Victor Moore is worth watching, again and again.

I caught one of the last sentences in the movie. Victor Moore said if "Mike" doesn't treat you (Mary) well you come and tell me. I will be back November 3. What a coincidence today is the 3rd.

Thanks for the information, I forget to check this channel. Most of these movies are repeating several times during the month, among the days for many will also be Thanksgiving day.
