NO MORE DANCING WITH STARS

Disney Week reminded me why I decided last year not to watch this season. I finally removed it from my auto-record list.

I feel badly that the co-hosts were "let go" after almost 20 (?) seasons & replaced by a former fashion model who, BTW, I can't hear over the fake applause.

Anyone else tired of the SOS?

I stopped watching several seasons ago. I got tired of the format. I did like the previous hosts and was sorry that they decided to change.

I watched the very first show many many seasons ago....that was the last one I watched. Do not understand why anyone would watch DWS or even shows like American Idol or The Voice..... just so overly fake and dramatic. Add to that so scripted and made for TV drama. Not entertaining to me.

I've been watching, but it's not the same. Tyra is dong exactly as I predicted -- making the show about her, as much as possible.

The unnecessary, costume changes, are distracting and irritating. I get circus ringmaster vibes. Her voice grates, too.

I FW just to catch the dancing, but this will probably be the last season that I begin watching. Once you do, you become attached to some of the couples and can't cut the cord.

I stopped watching years ago when it became less about the dancing and more about restarting a celebrity's career.

From what little I know about dancing, from the first and second seasons (and halfway through the second) it was apparent this was not in any way shape or form related to finding the best dancers.

As with every show like this, it's about some sob story or who does what--not in any way about "talent." It's a mini scripted soap opera.

When I watched in 2010 it was about the best dancing. My favorites ever were Kyle and Lacey and they came in second. Had never heard of Kyle as he was a Disney kid but he was a fantastic dancer.

Whose career did they try to restart? Florence Henderson? I never thought they did that. Just poking fun at older people dancing.
The best dancers were most always the football players.
I don't watch anymore as I had already watched enough.

@Shanus I don't watch anymore but Erin Andrews was not the first co host. I didn't care for her at all. The first was Brooke Burke Charvet. I liked her much better.

You are so right on the circus vibe. I don't like the way she struts out wearing those ridiculous outfits. She talks so fast I often can't figure out what she is saying. She has to much attitude.

@Shanus Don't know who SS is but yes you must be right with the other two. These days I don't think anyone making movies is middle aged except for maybe some men like Tom Cruise so I quess it didn't work with the older people. Do they still have has beens on anymore? I guess the movie producers haven't been watching.

I lost interest when they let Bobby Bones win! I stopped watching after they fired Tom and Erin. I never did think the hosts needed replacing! The show needed an overhaul, but not the hosts!Obviously I am not missing much.

@CANDLEQUEEN Obviously, I don't think you've missed a thing. I made it through a little bit of the first show...enough to see I wasn't loving Tyra Banks as host. I tuned back in, while flipping channels, to see it was Disney week and then decided NOPE.

I never watched. Made me feel like a baby elephant those girls with fantastic figures. How they do it I'll never know. All that dancing I guess and eating salads.

Never really watched it. They never had stars on. Always washed up people that used to be famous. I wonder why current stars never go on reality shows? Just has been.

Brooke Burke Charvet was not the first co-host. The original co-host was Lisa Canning. She was really good but only lasted one season. Then she was replaced with Samantha Harris followed by Brooke Burke. Then ABC brought in Erin.

I think Tyra is trying to make up for the lack of an audience. The seaon is going well even with all of the restrictions due to the pandemic.

All I can say is, what took everyone so long?

It was a good concept, I did ballroom dancing when I was much younger. I loved dancing and I love watching others dance. I don't remember when I quit watching, it's been at least 5-6 years now. It has become a circus atmosphere & it seems they've run out of "stars".

What's the term, jump the shark?
