"Flesh and Blood," anyone?

I absolutely love "Flesh and Blood!" I watch it while it's being recorded, and then get up the next morning and watch it again. There are parts that mystify me a bit, and I keep hoping I'll catch on the second time around.

Anyway, my favorite character is MARY. I will say that she and I have a lot in common. I enjoy how outrageous she is.

Anyone else as enthralled as I am?

I didn't watch last night-will catch up later.

Mary is the one who set the fire and I'm guessing Mark is the body being removed-killed by Mary.

It's too obvious that is would be Mark-he looks so suspicious but nothing concrete points to him. I think the writers are really throwing out a few distractions away from Mary.

No. The story line is like all the SCAM stories I've seen on all the crime investigative shows & the SNAPPED episodes.

I'm liking this show too. I'm feeling sad that there are only 4 episodes. There is a lot of material with the storylines of the adult children: Helen, Jake and Natalie. Maybe the show will be well-received and eventually we will be watching a Season 2.

@insomniac2 Thank you for starting this thread, as I had thought of doing the same.

Like you, I am hooked on this series and watch the repeats as often as they are aired. The dialogue is well written and the actors are perfection!

I liked it also. It keeps you guessing and trying to figure it out. Good cast. Very enjoyable.

I'm now watching COBRA on PBS. Oh my it is soooo good. Very suspenseful, the setting mainly is London and another great cast. I highly recommend it. Mini series of 6 episodes.

I watched Episode 4 tonight; it's the final episode. There is DEFINITELY material for a second season! No spoilers, but the ending scene was well done.

I am, most likely, the exception. Acting was very good but there was not one character that I liked and Mary creeped me out. So, it was not enjoyable for me.

Unfortunately, at the moment there is no official indication that there will be any more episodes over in the UK, and more than likely, it will be ITV who makes the decision here. British shows tend to operate under a different process than here in America — there is often no set schedule or premiere window that they have to adhere to. Basically, they can come on the air whenever they want and then wrap up in a fairly similar fashion. The focus is more on stories than just trying to fit a few specific boxes.

With that, we unfortunately can’t tell you much about what could be happening with some of these relationships or the overall story arcs — patience will be required! For viewers in America, we are at least confident that PBS will pick up more episodes in the event that they are ordered overseas. The network’s Masterpiece imprint has long been a great home for established British drama — they of course air overseas first, but eventually they do come stateside to develop an audience of their own.

@Somertime Believe me, you are so not the lone exception. The most unappealing group of people, (both the characters and the actors), in recent memory. Whether or not I would watch any new additional episodes depends on just how desperate I become based on the lack of watchable programming being offered across the board. It was, however, a good cliffhanger.

I don't think they were intended to be likable other than Viv, but i understand your point

I too understand the "likable" qualification, but the same thing occurs in books. I read a lot of fiction. It is better, IMO, if I like and can relate to the main characters. However, sometimes I just don't like the author's characters,but he or she tells one heck of a good story. Same thing with "Flesh and Blood." The characters certainly are flawed from many perspectives, but the storylines are compelling, at least for me. I would definitely watch more episodes, if they became available.
