@SilleeMee These days 36 isn't that old but compared to a 70 year old father, WHOSE clock is ticking faster? LOL He won't live to see the child get out of college, I'm betting. Did he have to prove his manliness again?

The older a woman gets, the more risk there is with pregnancy and with the unborn child.

36 is not that old but it's getting up there for a first pregnacy. @Love my grandkids

i'm betting she is the one who wanted the child. without a child, if things don't work out, or he passes, at least she has $$ to count on for the next 18+ years.

OK. All you have talked so far is him and her and NOT the child. What about the child? Does ANYONE ever consider the kids of these sunset parents? No.

If you want kids, have them when you are still young enough to perhaps see them grow up. If you want kids, think about that before you marry someone that old.

And don't start please with "no guarantees." I'm talking common sense here, not what if's.

Tony Randall was a perfect example, he and first wife were married 50 years, no children. after her death he remarried a much younger woman and had 2 kids. Sadly he passed away long before he could really enjoy them, and vice versa.

That kind of makes me sick. But that's how I felt when I heard they got married. So he will be 88 when their kid graduates from high school.

I was 37 years old when I had my last daughter.

Back then that was pretty close to the 'cut off' date that was the optimum age for having a child.

Then women in the news were having babies in their mid 40's and so on.

It's no longer unusual for a woman to have a baby older. But in Hollywood you're old if you're in your mid 30's.

There was a large (with lots of pictures) article of Foster and mostly about his daughters.

There was a small(er) picture of Katherine in it. The large picture was of David and 3 of his daughters.

It was more about Foster's relationship with his daughters. Of course it was all about what a great father he was. I didn't mean to sound facetious, but I'm always leery when sons and daughters of famous people expound about how marvelous mom and/or dad is.

His daughters are all beautiful, slim and look like they could be models.
