SIMON COWELL BROKE HIS BACK...

Simon Cowell was trying out his electric bicycle and crashed it. Last I heard he was in surgery because he broke his back. I have had back problems for most of my life, live with pain. My concern about Simon is being sixty years old, he may not ever be the same. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him, who knows, he just might be one of the lucky ones.

Thats why I don't do rollercoasters anymore....I am afraid of hurting my back. I know alot of friends that have/had back issues and I don't want to...

That's not good. I don't know what an electric bike is - maybe what I call a scooter.

Electric bikes have become very popular. They're not the same as a scooter.

My former Vet, retired now, was in his late fifties, early sixties. He and his family were in line to see an action movie, an Arnold S. movie, I believe, when he decided to jump over a hege, broke his ankle, told him he was watching too many of those type movies, lol, a case of forgetting one's age, I forget often, only asking for trouble.

Oh no, I hope he'll be alright. I would think he'll be out for America's Got Talent. I don't know what an electric bicycle is, sixty isn't that old, but you do have to realize your not in your twenties anymore.

what I use 25 miles a week or tad more. Not

electric. Electric is probably expensive model.

It was probably a class 3 fancy bike. They go up to 29 mph or so. That’s fast.

@AuntG Probably a moped. My dad got one after he had to give up his driver's license. He was smart enough to realize it was an accident waiting to happen, so he didn't have it long. It looked just like a bicycle.

Oh boy. Breaking one's back is not good af any age, but worse when you are 60. Hope he is one of the lucky ones, and makes a full recovery.

@Lindsays Grandma You, me and Cowell have something in common...broken backs.

When I was 18 I fractured 3 vertebras. Then a few months ago I broke another one.

I had to have a procedure where the Dr chips off a piece of bone (worried about bone cancer) and they put cement into the bone. She used a chisel and large and small mallot pounding off the bone.

I think we'd all agree there is no pain worse than breaking your back.

As far as operation, where mine is located no go. My Dr said people come to him AFTER they've had surgery because often it doesn't take away the pain.

Like you, I hope he has good results. No one should be in that kind of pain. He has a young son he needs to watch after.
