You are missing out on some great movies--GWTW, Casablanca for sure. Movie making at its best. Try them, you might like them!!!

The Godfather - I've tried but can never do it. I always seem to walk in while others are watching it at a couple of different points but always the same parts lol.

I never saw any of the Star Wars or Star Trek films. I just wasn't interested. On the other hand, I saw a few so-called classics that I thought were way overblown with praise, e.g., Titanic. A Night to Remember, made years before, was much better.

Most of the movies where the setting is a battlefield, just not into 'war' movies. Also have never seen "Titanic". Often I find that after seeing many clips and interviews with the actors, I no longer desire to see the movie in its entirety.

Recently I've been watching some westerns which never appealed to me either.

@KBEANS Oh geez, westerns. My husband never saw a western he didn't like.

No movies, no problem, I would come in the living romm and he would have Gunsmoke, Bonanza or the Rifleman on.

I hightailed it to the kitchen to putter.

I scan our movie schedules every Monday, looking for movies of long ago we never saw, or saw so many years ago and liked.

We also like documentary series. But we also enjoy cute and light-hearted old movies, such as Pillow Talk with Doris Day.

I personally enjoy the Brit series and want to subscribe to Britbox.

I’ve actually seen most of the older iconic movies from Hollywood. I love watching old movies. I check TCM each day for movies I haven’t seen and want to DVR. I just watched Double Indemnity for the first time yesterday.

I’ve yet to see On the Waterfront & A Streetcar Named Desire. Storylines don’t interest me. I’ve seen bits & pieces of The Godfather I & II, only because my DH watches them from time to time. Gangster movies don’t interest me.

I avoid most westerns & war movies too - just not my thing. I did watch The Big Country with Gregory Peck & The Great Escape with Steve McQueen because I liked those 2 actors. The movies were good, but those 2 genres aren’t my favorite.

We are big sci-fI & fantasy fans so we’ve seen all the Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc. movies. However, the Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings books are better than the movies in our opinion.

Tried to watch Casablanca on TV but was bored silly.

Saw Titanic with my sis years ago and hated it.

Never into Potter.

Tried to watch Scarface on cable but the dialog was way too filthy for me and I'm no prude.

On the Waterfront -- meh

Many so-called classics I find boring.

Citizen Kane -- didn't like.

I LOVED The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit as I'm a huge fan of Gregory Peck. Love Jimmy Stewart too.

It's nice to see a "fun" topic like this today.

With the exception of Avatar and Lord of the rings I have seen all the movies mentioned so far. Some are truly classic films that have stood the test of time like Citizen Kane, Grapes of Wrath, and Casablanca (I still cry at the end) and others like Star Wars and Star Trek are in a genre some don't care for. Personally I don't care for most comedies and gratuitous nudity.

I won't watch war movies, violent shoot em ups, Sci Fi or fantasy. They can have great reviews, I don't care. I know what I can handle.

I saw the very first Star Wars movie back in late 70s. On the way home from the theater my 9 year old son explained to me what it was about as I was clueless. Never saw another nor did I see Titanic

I've never seen The African Queen, or The Maltese Falcon.

The African Queen is one of my all time favorite movies. Never get tired of watching it and have probably seen it a dozen times. If you're a fan of either Bogart (got his Oscar for the role) or Kate Hepburn, a must see. Record if necessary.
