Hi CB, I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was. At first, like you, I thought it looked too much like Housewives reality stars. There may have been some amplified drama. If the younger couple can get past their superficiality, they might do well. I can't imagine what a mom of two toddlers is thinking but I wish her and her boys well. The female couple will be interesting as they seem very different yet have strong characters. I like how the show moves along without a lot of repititious chatter from the pros. I'm curious what kind of track record their pros have in making solid matches.

My MAFS pass has picked up this one so I guess I'll watch. At first it looked like one of those 'housewives' shows here in the US but it smoothed out a bit. They seem to move more quickly, as in the first 2hr episode isn't just about making the matches. Actual weddings follow.

Some differences from here, as in one Gay woman and one with small children. They have their own 'experts' so we'll see how it goes.

Hi Free! Yeah, interesting how we both saw it in the beginning. I was almost ready to tune out if it was going to become that sort of thing.

I was actually doing some things while I watched, so I have saved the episode in my 'deleted' folder so I might go back and re-watch some of it.

It seemed like the experts asked more pointed questions and that is what seems missing in the US version.
