Any Rob Lowe Fans Here? His Series 9-1-1 Lone Star Premieres Sunday...

...on Fox, at 10. It's a two-night premiere, a series about a TX fire department captain captain who's relocated there from NYC. It also stars Liv Tyler, and is another spinoff of 9-1-1. The preview looked pretty good.

I always liked Rob Lowe. The handsome devil still has that strong jaw, too lol. I happened to catch him on TV today when I rescanned our TVs for new channels. When the scan was complete, it landed on the channel whose gabfest (the one with Marie Osmond) he was appearing on! So I watched. As usual, he was very entertaining. I like, too, that he doesn't take himself seriously. He has a good sense of humor, and it shows.

I hope he has good luck with his series.

I've liked Rob Lowe for a long time. My daughter used to have his posters all over her room. Ha! Maybe I just got used to seeing him.

I like the way he's self-deprecating. I like people who can make fun of themselves and don't take themselves too seriously. That would be him.

He's works hard to maintain his body and good looks but doesn't get bent out of shape when he's defined by them.

Anyway, thanks for the reminder. I'll set my DVR right now.

Yes, @Annabellethecat66, he's also up for anything. He even co-hosted the short-lived game show, Mental Samurai, which I liked, but most didn't, apparently lol.

His commercials for DIRECTV were hilarious, too, despite the controversy ginned up by Comcast.

I like Rob Lowe. The last time I saw him in a series was when he played a blue alien in a show called The Orville...he cracked me up big time in that show! LOL!

and other than a v.e.r.y small speed bump in his career, no one

even mentions it anymore.

Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, will be 85yrs old and

summarizing her successful life, people will say through

pursed lips, '...but her sex tape..!'

Seriously, guys can get away w/ this stuff...women can't.

It's not Rob Lowe's fault and I'm happy he didn't spiral out of control

after his issues but I wish the Public would give women the same

consideration, that's all.

LOL Who cares about Kim Kardashian's sex tape, @sidsmom. (That's not a question.) That might be the first thing you think of at the drop of her name, but most people don't. If it makes you feel better, I'm sure Rob Lowe's 30-year-old indiscretion would be mentioned in any complete and exhaustive retrospective of his life.

And Chelsea Handler, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, et. al. ....🤔aren't "getting away with this stuff?"

Any thoughts on this series? I thought it was ok. I am hoping it gets better. Will continue to watch for a few more episodes. Rob Lowe is always a plus.

I thought it got off to a slow start, then picked up steam.

I'll watch the second part tomorrow (Monday will be its regular spot), and just hope that they don't spend too much time exploring each main character's personal life. That's what inevitably happened with the original 9-1-1 series.

As usual, Robe Lowe rocked. But he doesn't have a great track record with TV series lol. Remember this one? I think he was 15 or so:

There's quite a cast of characters in this show. You've got a:

-fireman with cancer who got that from the 9/11 attack in NYC, a 'city slicker' in Texas now

-broken hearted gay fireman who has an addiction problem

-Muslim firewoman

-religious cowboy with PTSD

-mixed race married couple, black woman is 9-1-1 dispatch operator who just happens to be married to that cowboy

-OCD fireman (that's what he appears to be to me anyway)

The only one I haven't yet figured out is the first responder woman (Liv Tyler).

Did I leave anyone else out?...LOL!

Also a Rob Lowe fan. I set a Pass for the show but have yet to watch E01. I really like the other 911 show and I'm sure he does a great job with this one.

It's cool to see the wide variety of characters, so I am looking forward to it.
