Robert Walker Jr. Dies At 79

From the Associated Press:

"Robert Walker Jr., the son of actors Robert Walker and Jennifer Jones who starred on a memorable 'Star Trek' episode and in such films as 'Ensign Pulver' and 'Young Billy Young,' died Thursday in Malibu, his wife, Dawn, reported. He was 79."

He was also in a couple of episodes of Murder She Wrote, in one playing a man just released from a mental institution, a part he played very well. I thought he looked a lot like actor Jim Hutton and I often got them confused at first glance.

I didn't know that Robert Walker had a son; I do however remember Robert Walker. He starred in a movie set at St.John's in Forest Glen, MD. My Mother was an extra in that movie and Robert Walker had a heart attack and died during filming. The movie came out but they really edited it to make it coherent.

I was in shock that he was 79! Why, I don't know but he was a carbon copy of his father. His brother, Michael passed many years ago as well as his step sister, Mary.

@ahoymate I saw that and thought he looks pretty much the same as an elderly man (esp. if you picture him without the beard and mustache).

He was in Easy Rider, and also played Ensign Pulver.
