Kelly Clarkson a Ratings Hit

Kelly Clarkson show is a bona fide hit and a ratings juggernaut.

With an average of 1.9 million viewers it ranks 4th in daytime talk behind established veterans Ellen, Dr. Phil and Kelly & Ryan. She now overshadows other daytime newcomer Tamron Hall.

It is more than likely that Kelly could become a long running syndicated smash on the order of Ellen and Oprah if she maintains these numbers. Her format closely follows Ellen's which involves positive, upbeat chats with guests she is interested in.

I only started watching it when QVC stopped live overnight programming and WNBC reruns the show in the early morning. I didn't think I would like it, but I do.

I've only watched it once when she had the original American Idol judges. I liked it. I may watch it again if the ratings are that good.

I watched it once and it did not grab me, but am willing to give it another chance based on your assessment. I like her because she has unapologetically remained true to herself, in an industry that encourages quite the opposite.

With most talk shows if I don't care for the guest(s) it's difficult for me to watch regardless of the host. For example, Sharon Osbourne was on with Kelly and I couldn't bear it, so I switched away. But Kelly really is genuine, more so than a lot of daytime hosts.

I don't watch daytime tv but good for her. A lot nicer than Wendy Williams.

I have switched to Kelly, I use to watch The Talk. I like Kelly, she is very relatable.

I used to watch The Talk a long time ago. It drove me crazy the way the audience constantly claps. I know they're told to but it STILL gets on my nerves.

I stopped watching those shows when I realized they're only there to talk about themselves and to push their agenda.

Many/most of them are full of themselves. I've always taught my girls they use the bathroom and eat and drink just like we do.

If you want to think someone's done something amazing look to women who raise their children alone, look to someone who's lost weight and kept it off (making their health better, not easy) and so on.

I've watched Kelly's show a few times. At least she sings and is entertaining. I could easily (and have) sat through her show.

@Annabellethecat66 I agree with you. Often the unsung rarely receive recognition for their accomplishments. And we all know it is a lot easier to look pulled together and accomplished when you have stylists, an entourage, unlimited funds, and financial advisers attending to your every need. I have tremendous respect and admiration for the working class hero.

I'm not into the Strahan, Sarah, and Kiki show, and not really that impressed with the Kelly show. I watch GH, and then I turn off the television. They took off AMC and OLTL, and replaced them with The Chew, which at least gave me great recipes. Now The Chew is gone, and we're left with two daytime talk shows on either side of GH. Not a fan.

I think Kelly has that likable factor. I watch CBS news in the morning and usually turn the TV off - occasionally I will watch The View. I have not seen Kelly's show as it airs here in the afternoon and I am usually busy at that time.

Today Kelly had a story, on the set of Lucifer with the whole cast. Kelly's mom and sister are big fans. Tom Ellis said this last season of Lucifer will be spilt up into two parts, eight episodes each.

I feel the same way....wasn't impressed for the few minutes I watched her show but maybe I need to give it another try.

Ha! Who isn't, amirite?

Didn't this young lady used to be a singer? I was thinking that when I was watching a show recently where she sang with Carole King. Carole sounded great, of course, but Kelly was flat and off-key the whole time.

I haven't watched her talk show, as I'm pretty much OD'd on talk shows lately but I hope she's better at that than she is at singing!
