Did anyone keep track of tonight's Blacklist body count? It must've been in double-digits.

That nerdy-looking, little lethal nurse guy sure had a Norman Bates-vibe about him, especially after he wheeled in "Mother" to witness his homicidal handiwork.

How many new episodes do we get before NBC shelves The Blacklist for the Olympics?

Alan Alda AND Jane Alexander - brilliant casting. IMO - she's in the same arena as Blythe Danner; one of this country's finest talents.

Jane Alexander is such an elegant performer, best known for her stage work. In this role, she was like an American version of Helen Mirren. Not only are Alexander and Danner equally skillful and strong actors, but it's especially gratifying to see roles created in primetime TV and film for "women of a certain age." All too often, Hollywood seems oblivious to any female over the age of 25.

Hi, keri.

My comment isn't so much about the casting as the character Alda plays. A congressman (or someone who would "walk into congress")...who may have had something to do with Red's capture and torture and then showed up after and asked him what he'd told (somebody)? Like I said, my head's spinning!

Agree with your comments re: the talent of those mentioned and roles for "women of a certain age."

I think I'll be watching Intelligence from now on and taping The Blacklist. Thankfully, I started watching the Blacklist late so I watched it on my DVR instead of live. I had to fast forward through all of the torture stuff. I don't watch Criminal Minds but I imagine that show is something like this was last night.

However, Red was awesome. He didn't waste any time dispatching people who had crossed him. That didn't bother me. I hope they stop with these serial killer themes.

I gave up on Criminal Minds when they started all the torture. But I'm so into Blacklist I will have to gut it out.

OMG - was this incredible or what! Welcome back Red!!!! Wondering how Alan Alda fits into the scheme of things, who is the mole? and what about agent Kean's husband, is he innocent as he appears to be or something far more sinister as per Red's warnings to her. I agree with Keri (above) when I saw the mother in the chair I was instantly reminded of Norman Bates and thought maybe she was indeed dead in the chair. James Spader is so calm, cool, confident. sexy and deadly - love him and the Character Red.

LOVE this show! But I'm a bit confused over this past episode - doesn't Red work for the Alan Alda character? Isn't that why the AA character questioned Red after he was tortured? And why was Red captured and tortured in the first place?

Also, Agent Keen's husband disappears a lot - why would he still go to the interview when he knows that his wife doesn't want to move to Nebraska? I don't think he was really going to a schoolteaching interview, I think he was up to something else.

New episodes of The Blacklist will air on Jan. 20th, & Jan. 27th prior to the break during the Olympics. I don't know when it returns after the Games. I will definitely be giving it my full attention on the next two Monday nights!

I LOVED this show from the beginning, it is so riveting, however all the violence and gore is turning me away. I just don't feel that showing all that gore is necessary, I find it disturbing. I want to watch but.......
