The trailer from the new Mr. Rogers movie, starring Tom Hanks, is out now. The movie is scheduled for release on Thanksgiving.

Tom Hanks is a very good actor and I think he was the best casting for the role of Mr. Rogers. I can't wait for the release of the movie!

While waiting until Thanksgiving for this....if you haven't yet seen the documentary about Mr. Rogers, Won't You Be My Neighbor, it's wonderful. I highly recommend it if you haven't yet seen it.

Gosh, @GingerPeach , the subway scene had me teary-eyed. With chills. It was a magical time for one of my kids and it took me back. I'm sure DH and I will see the movie.

according to a review I read, the movie is more about how Fred Rogers' jouney through life and less about him and his 'neighborhood'. I dont think I will watch this movie.

I found the documentary online (Vimeo) and just watched it.

Boy did the world get just a little darker when Mr. Rogers died.

@Pearley i agree! i thought that documentary was A+++ - and think i'll skip the ersatz version though. i'd rather watch the real deal.

I cannot wait for this movie! I absolutely loved Mr. Rogers! I think Tom Hanks will do a stupendous job of protraying him and in fact, I can't think of a single other actor who could do him justice. I rarely go to movies, but I simply have to go and see this one!!!!

Long lost friends who didn't get the chance to know it! They even sound alike. This movie is going to be great, I bet Mr Hanks had a blast making it.

The trailer alone made me cry! Tom Hanks is perfect in every way. Just can't wait to see it - and predict I'll cry through the whole movie.

They should put this movie on a 24/7/365 rotation.

His beautiful message needs to be heard over & over & over again

After watching the trailer, I am really looking forward to this movie.

Tom Hanks is perfect for the role and Matthew Rhys (Americans) is outstanding.

Mr. Roger's was done in Pittsburgh where I grew up so I will be looking forward to seeing scenes from home.

The show was always near and dear as my sixth grade teacher did a stand up comedy act with Chef Brockett, who was also part of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
