Anthony Bourdain 'Parts Unknown'

Tonys final season started airing last night, the episode was in Kenya. I read somewhere it will be a shortened season as CNN pulled the episodes that involved his girlfriend Asia Argento, in both directing and producing, anything she was involved with (since it was revealed she did indeed have relations w/ a 17 yr old young man). There will just be 7 episodes this final season.

I believe you can watch every episode at CNN or I know this season can be found on Demand. This was the last episode that include Tonys narration, the next 5 will be completed by the directors and other involved and will use audio compiled by Tony during filming.

It brought on such a feeling of melancholy so you may want to have some tissues near.

How I loved "traveling" with Anthony Bourdain. The knowledge he imparted about each destination and his gift for connecting with those who gave insight into the country's culture were nonpareil. Every moment on the road with him was a distinct pleasure.

He will be missed.

I will miss him terribly. I am almost mad that he did what he did. He was an amazing story teller....I will never get over such a senseless loss of life🙁

I know Anthony’s last episodes will be aired, but even the sight of him fills me with sorrow. He was such a talent and so filled with life.

I watched last night and teared up at the end. He was larger than life to me and I loved traveling with him and listening as he educated us to food and people around the globe. His swagger and bad boy persona only made it that much more interesting.

I can only imagine how those who knew him and loved him must feel. It’s very sad as is any situation where a loved one decides to end their life. My heart goes out to those who have experienced this.

I watched last night's episode about Asturias, Spain & it really suffered from the lack of Tony's perspective & narration. It made me even sadder. The other chef who went with him was hard to understand, too & I had ot turn on CC to know what he was saying. It was like Tony was there, but not really there in this episode.

I liked the episode with Jose Andres. I thought it was well done with Jose's narration at the beginning and then when he was talking about Tony in the midde I got a little teary.

One of the hallmark's of the show was Tony's narration. He had such a way with words.

I am watching Indonesia. How ironic that this episode is focusing on loss of life, cremation, funerals, etc. Makes you think and wonder...
