looks like carole is quitting #rhony.

Today she gave an exclusive to People:

“After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best — journalism and producing. I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind. My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament. I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind. I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next.”

I am not surprised ...maybe she will write a book about her experience on Reality TV. I am sure it will be fiction

I won't miss her clothing style that's for sure.

Her frenemies won't miss her...it was time for her to move on.

I think Jill will take her place.

honestly, i would have rather seen bethenny leave than carole.

but of course, bethenny puts on a much better show with all of her crying and hysterics and drama and brand advertising. LOL

From the beginning of the season her attitude was different.

The girl had, but then did not have, her Mr. Big.

Running the marathon was a goal and hats off to her for completing it but things changed after doing so.

She altered her style, observed others with a different perspective, and strutted herself about.

She got a job and a column, and a Carrie wardrobe.

Maybe she will move to Europe for awhile.

I can only take Bethenny in small doses, well all of them really, so I checked out of NY a couple of seasons ago, but I did read TMZ, which stated, "Our sources say BF controls the show and used her power to push Carole out of the picture...effectively reducing her camera time. Behind the scenes, we're told, other cast members refer to 'RHONY' as 'The Bethenny Show'".

Dorinda does appear to have some major drinking issues.

I'd rather Carole be gone than Bethenny. Bethenny lives for drama and is a pita, but she makes for some great tv and is interesting to watch. I couldn't stand Carole's smugness and arrogance.

Bethenny did truly lose it in Columbia. She appears to suffer from low sense esteem but does a good job covering it up when she's not with all of those women on vacations.

Carole loved that Bethenny felt insecure. It made Carole feel secure. What has Carole does, professionally, in the past 6 years--as far as producing and writing? A Cosmo article??? puhhhleezee...if that even came to fruition.

@winamac1 Carole wrote a book, I think it was called A Widow's Guide To Sex And Dating. Don't know when that was out. Her book What Remains is beautifully written.

I liked her very much when she first came on the show, don't know what happened. I still remember when Carole and Dorinda went to England to retrieve the ashes of Anthony Radziwill. Their sharing and bonding on that episode was the most genuine thing I've ever seen on any of those shows. I watch a couple of them as a complete turn my brain off escape. But it's so tired and repetitive at this point.
