Agatha RAISIN tv series new to me and great fun!

Her escapades are really entraining!

I think I have an appreciation for many British tv series!

This one does not disappoint...

I have not read the books and in this case, perhaps that is a good thing!

I think it might be that I love their clothes!

@LTT1 I have read all the books, and they are completely different from the show, the TV Aggie is nothing like the books, nicer, prettier and that takes away from her charm, this is just my opinion

I think they had to do this for the show sadly,

I Googled this, and it says it's on Acorn TV. I've never heard of that. It doesn't look like it's on Netflix. Is Acorn tV where you're seeing it?

Acorn is a streaming service,

it was also on our local PBS station recently

I've never heard of this show, but had to comment that the woman in the pic looks like a blonde Barbara Feldon to me.

I love this show! I just discovered it on my local PBS station, so I'll watch it there. But it's my understanding that subsequent seasons may only be available through AcornTV. No matter, it's great fun!! The first episode about the quiche murder was so witty and creative!

I'd encourage that after enjoying the series, one read the books... To me, they are much better and, as was already noted, quite different... The books have a charm somewhat lacking in the series... Agatha is a very different person and the supporting characters differ between the books and the shows... I've watched most of the series on one of several local PBS stations, several of which feature programs from the UK...

Yes, it is on PBS where we dvr this through Direct tv.

I know probably that detail is missing that a book would include, but for the two of us, this is a delight...the scenery and I love her clothes.

We rented Acorn free trial for Doc Martin last year. We are devoted fans of that show, too.

Hopefully, you will be able to find this ob PBS....enjoy!

I’ve read all the Agatha Raisin books. In fact, I’m reading one right now, “The Witches’Tree.” I knew that there was a TV series based on the book. I’d watch but if it’s entirely different than the books, I think I’d be disappointed.

DH asked me if I wanted to purchase the DISK set, and I said of course I do!

ebay has it and so does Amazon.

I don’t know how he finds these good shows!

she's nothing like "our Aggie" the cleaning lady is nothing like the one in the books either

Here is what I did and then found it

If you have Direct tv, do a search “Agatha Raisin.”

The next episode (episode 3) will be airing July 15th.

on Direct tv, it will be shown on PBS, which is Dallas channel 13.

DH said he goes to the “guide” (Direct tv) and follows it across. He looks for British tv series that might be of interest this way.

@NickNack, I have Acorn and Britbox, they are $4.99 and $6.99 a month respectively. I love British TV and have also found some great shows from Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand. Worth every penny for me!

@LTT1 I have Comcast and did a search on my Tivo for it. PBS stations are different in every city as far as programming. Maybe mine will show it soon. Thanks for trying to help.
