Have you ever watched a series on t.v. and been disappointed in the ending?

We were just talking about how sad it is when a series you've been involved in from the start, ends. My disappointment was in Downton Abbey. I don't know which one he felt sad about it ending.

But, did you ever have one? (Oh and the Good Wife!!).

I feel like you about Downton Abbey, I think as long as you are still interested and curious about the characters you will miss the show.

Many endings are disappointing but my favorite ending (which proved prophetic of real life) was Weeds (where she ends up running a legal marijuana empire).

It seems like every series I have been emotionally vested in has a disappointing finale. The Sopranos was the worst. I didn't care for how Downton ended and Mad Men had bizarre and disappointing end. Scandal is in the middle of it's swan song and it's been a dissapointing season so I have no hope for good ending. The Good Wife, I still don't know how or why that show self destructed they way it did. I don't even remember how it ended, that's how bad it was.

@jeanlakeMostly yeah. But the end of Newhart where he wakes up in bed with Suzanne Pleshette who played is wife on the Bob Newhart show, That was a GOOD ONE! I liked it anyway.

I do not think I am disappointed in the ending. It is like saying good bye to old friends.

Agree about Downtown Abbey and Mad Men...ended with many questions. Oh, and onother is Last Tango In Halifax!! The series have such a following and the stories move rapidly and then poof...story over!!

Blood and Oil with Don Johnson. They characters were developing, the plots were thickening, and then POOF! They had filmed a season's worth of episodes, but the network decided to axe it and they then quickly filmed a finale which was so odd and out of sync. Didn't make sense at all. Very disappointing.

@corita I so agree about Last Tango in Halifax! I found that show to be delightful. When they had the Christmas special I couldn't follow, because everything seemed disjointed. I could'n't understand what had transpired to bring them to that point, and it was confusing.

I was so disappointed in the Christmas show!! Show's plot didn't mesh with the backstories and everyone seemed so out of place as though they did not want to be there!!!!
