SURVIVOR 3/14 SPOILERS

Another great episode! Only four episodes in this is one of my favorite seasons.

I squee'd when Bradley said he wants to play the winning games of Boston Rob and Kim Spradlin, two of my all-time favorite players (along with Parvati and Cochran and Ozzy even though he never won).

And it wasn't long after that I was rooting for him to be voted out. So smug!

Ghost Island had a great choice. You could hear the audience all over America rooting for her to take the chance but can't fault her for playing safe.

The challenges were great. So glad they brought back the one with the tiny strip where you have to land the balls, I love that one!

My only complaint, and this may sound really weird, is that Naviti sometimes too much like Nagini and I'm instantly transported (with floo powder) out of Survivor and into Harry Potter.

I thought it was going to be another puzzle, but no, more tossing of balls. Seems those two things are all they do.

Very sad to see Jim Caviezel and his abs go home.

I hate players blabbing about having an idol, but Bradley was clever at tribal saying first it let him keep two people safe. That rattled the other alliance. Then when he handed it to Jeff he turned and watched them as he told Jeff he wanted to use it on himself and Brandon. He was watching them to see how they reacted and when they didn't, he seemed to assume they were targeting the girl and used it on her instead, only to be proven wrong when Brendan got the votes. It was clever on his part though.

I really hate the early merges as it divides each new tribe into segments that then generally stay loyal. Keep each tribe intact until the big merge. If you end up in the minority after a merge, you're in big trouble and there's not a lot you can do about it. Bradley played it about as well as he could last night, but still lost an ally. I think the early merges spoil suspense as you pretty much know that one of the outsiders will be gone.

@gardenman, agree. They're playing smart. It seemed like Sebastian might flip -- he was obviously thinking about it -- but he was smart not to. Doesn't mean next week new alliances won't form; they sometimes do, sometimes don't but Brendon got into his head with his talk that Sebastian's on the bottom of the alliance.

ETA: Just found out Sebastian has a nickname on the internet: Sea Bass. Cute!

Being on the bottom of an alliance is a bad spot, but moving to another pre-existing alliance where you'll be on the bottom there is even worse. The best thing you can do is identify who's on the bottom of the other alliance and try to unite with them in a brand new, bottom dweller alliance. If you can do that, you can pick off the people in each of the other alliances and go far.

@gardenmansooner or later teams turn on their own. Maybe there will be another shakeup next week or maybe a new alliance will form. It's what makes Survivor so great. Maybe (I'd love this) Bradley put a target on himself last night.

There have been a few seasons where people went in order and they were so boring. Before it began airing the buzz on this season was great so I doubt it's a locked-in boot order.

I am enjoying this season. I was disappointed that Kellen didn't accept the challenge on Ghost Island, because I wanted to see what it was! i thought Michael's scheme at Tribal Council to say that James' idol could save two people was brilliant! Hard to believe he is just 18 years old; he's very savvy.

I am also enjoying this season. I have abeen a Survivor fan since the beginning. I think the last few seasons I have not joined in until later in the season. This season is interesting from the beginning. That was really a smart move by Michael. I love when players try new things and don't just do the same as every other season. I also wish they wouldn't stay with their original pre-merge alliances and form new allianges when they switch it up.

I had to catch up last night--I just got back from vacation and wanted to watch before this week (which I will also miss because I am going to Hamilton). This season has been one of the best in recent years. I thought the double save ploy was pretty good, but it kind of backfired on him. I was pretty ehhhhh when it happened because you need those strong players to win immunity challenges. I thought the come from behind win was fantastic!

Poor Kellen. I can certainly understand her reasoning, but you could almost hear the producers banging their heads that she didn't take a chance!
