Movie about taking boyfriend home

I cannot think of the name of it and someone mentioned here in the forum. It is a scary movie about a girl who takes her boyfriend home to meet her parents. It was out within the last year. I want to see if I can find it on TV or possibly Netflix.

I saw Get Out and while it was an interesting new treatment of the horror genre, the film felt more like a social commentary rather than scary. I enjoyed watching it the first time, but it's not one I would be clicking Netflix to play again.

It reminded me of Stepford Wives in a way. Scary. I wonder if there will ever be a Get Out 2 since it did so well?

Great movie. I can’t say I agree with it being in the horror genre.

I’ve seen it once and plan to see it again.

i have it for free on my on demand comcast cable (via HBO). i also have a version with an alternate ending that can be purchased for $15.99.

Alternate ending, really? The actual ending was a surprise to me. I assume the other ending is what I hoped would not happen. Don't want to see that one!

The writer/director - who won an Oscar for best screenplay - certainly wrote it as a horror movie.

I actually watched it twice. First time, I was like is this for real? It was really good. I saw where Jordan Peele said he was up for a sequel.......My husband liked it, but not as much as I did. I thought it was brilliant! Very different from anything else out there......Great acting by all in it as well.
