Y&R Mariah really is.... (BIG SPOILER)

My mom did a bunch of research and found a tidbit on celeb dirty laundry that said Mariah is (get this....) Cassie's identical twin. Supposedly Mariah's mother (Helen) was a nurse at the hospital where Cassie was born and took her twin.

I get Soap Opera Digest and it says we're supposed to find out whatever the story is on Friday's show.

What do you think? Is it possible Mariah is Cassie's twin?

I'm pretty sure that's how it's going to turn out.

I just hope Mariah doesn't stay the ""evil"" twin but turns her life around after finding out that Sharon is her mother. But she may feel she'll never be able to live up to Cassie and therefore her bad ways may continue. At least for a while.

I still believe somehow IW is connected, might even be Sharon's father and Mariah's grandfather, what ever there are moments he is earnestly friendly towards Sharon and we know he seems to care about Mariah.

Could be Doris's brother making him an uncle who knows he is connected...

Over on another thread some were saying for sure that he is the father. I've always said she was her twin. No two people could look that much alike and not be a twin.

Although some people believe we all have a doppleganger. (sp) Too lazy to look up correct spelling!

I constantly have people telling me they know me. Just the other day (yet again) someone said, "I know you". I said, "No you don't". He wouldn't let it go. It's gets frustrating. My late husband and daughters all thought it was funny.

I have read an explanation (what several psychics I go to have told me why this is) but I won't bore you about it.

I get way off subject.

One day we need to try to meet up someplace. I know there are people who do that. I want to go to ComicCon one day. I told my daughter I'd pay for her to go when she wants to. I don't know if you guys are familiar with it but a lot of TV shows are based on comic books. Then it has spread to TV shows.

These people who go there are really hard core TV and comic book fans.

Off subject again. Sorry.

I thought it was funny when Sharon came out and Cassie is standing there in her nightgown.

Now I remember what I was going to say. Back a few weeks or maybe even a month or so ago, Nick could see the where things were going and he said that he didn't like that storyline. He said he thinks of this young girl as his daughter and he hopped they wouldn't have him kissing all on her and vice versa. He may have even put his foot down (I think he's done that once or twice based on interviewes I've seen. I totally agree with him! That was stupid for the writers to go there. What purpose does that serve? Why would a young girl like like be interested in him, he's more of a Father figure to her.

How can Ian Ward be the father, unless he got Sharon pregnant before his accident that made in not able to father a child! Ian ward is much older than Sharon, and don't you think Sharon would remember him???

I don't know who infer that....

Doris Collins, Sharon's mother who had an encounter with Ian, not Sharon's therefore might be Sharon's Father she never knew?

No one knows how old Ian was when he lost his ability to have children!

Can you imagine what it'd be like at a family reunion. It's be like, "Uncle John"! "No, Darlin', Actually, I'm your Father" and so on!

Who was it? Probably Java (Java, you are amazing at keeping things straight) someone said (about the father of Vicki's baby) has there been a paternity test done in Genoa City where Victor hasn't had a hand in it one way or another?

Have all of you forgotten about our little Vicki? Today she grabbed her stomach (of course after Chelsea and Billy left). Ugh! They've turned her character into a ding bat!

Here she wanted to have a baby soooooooooooo badly. Remember she had all of those shots so she could get pregnant? Then she does and Billy is chopped liver? Oh! Let's not forget all of a sudden she goes back to work for Daddy! The stress alone of the job would not be good.

Her sister said to her "you are having a high risk baby" and she's talking about having this kid in.....where......the Chancellor park? It wouldn't surprise me if she didn't set up a tent and decide to give birth there. That's where they all meet, where they tell their secrets, etc. Why not have the demon kid there too! Ha! Sorry, I'm getting carried away. I just don't like her high and mighty attitude.

My son and I were talking about this and I GUESSED IT!! Totally think it is possible and it makes the storyline more realistic. Love the concept and will allow the actress as much airtime or storyline as the writers wants. I AGREE WITH THIS STORYLINE!!

RINGER, that girl is a good actress. Did you see the video Java posted for us that shows her when she was a little girl as Cassie winning the real Emmy?

She was really good the other day. She held her own with Sharon. I thought that was a good scene.

On Soap Digest they do this thing where they call out really good scenes in some of the soaps. I would think that would be recognized as a good scene.

I'm not looking forward to seeing Niki fall down drunk over and over once again. I lived with a total alcoholic growing up. I'll probably FF over that part. It is always (I think) even more tragic when it is a female because females who are drunk are even more helpless.

This will probably help her bid for next year for an Emmy.

I saw Cassie a few times when she was originally on as a kid and I thought she was very good. Prior to the scene with Sharon the other day, I thought she had lost it. When she speaks her lines, her expression is almost always the same. She has been very bland with her acting, IMO. I'm with robomo....I want her gone.

On another group of postings you can go there and see Cassie (as a young girl) when she actually won a Daytime Emmy for the show. She was so gracious and cute.

You should go over and see it. You can also see some of her acting when she was young. She was an exceptional young actress.

She sure put that little blonde kid to shame. That new(er) blonde kid is better than the one she replaced.

Speaking of all of this (kids) have you noticed that the little girl who played Billy's daughter that they killed off is now doing the Cherrio commercials. There is a series of maybe 3 of them that she does. Now her hair is lighter (very light brown) but I think it's the same little girl. She was a very good actress. Glad she found other work so quickly.

She was soooo cute as a child and I vividly recall her as a real young girl and coming into the Newman home. She is an excellent actress and am thrilled this twin storyline will allow her to be on for some time to come.

As for Nikii I am with you--I think they have done the drinking stories for many years and don't want to revisit it. Since I have watched this show since it began, will stay on though!

Over on another Y&R posting here, someone posted just click websites where you can see various old shows of Y&R. It's wonderful.

But what you might like Ringer, is the interview with Niki and Brooke sitting together with them answering questions people have posted to them.

I love it. They were fun and relaxed. It shows how really different they are personalities (I mean different the way Kathernine Lang and Melody Scott Thomas are different personalities for real.

Katherine is so soft spoken and a bit shy but Melody is outspoken and outgoing. They are both sweet, just different personalities. I understand Melody because that's the way I am.

As someone who's watched it so much like you have you might get a kick out of some of these. I like the kind of postings where you just click on them and she's done that.

Java did it. I don't know if that's a man or woman and Java I apologize if you are a man, but I like being a woman and would rather refer to you as a woman (I'm smiling).

Good grief! Talk about drawing something out! It's really sad what these writers have done to the characters we've known for so long.

Some of the changes in personality and things we'd think....What? Are you kidding? Why would he/she do that? That doesn't sound like him/her!

They can't even keep the character "in character". Some of the actors on Y&R have spoken out (Joshua Murrow) for one has said that he put it foot down when they started heading toward a romance with his look alike daughter. He said, "that was just gross".

Thank goodness. Anyway, I cannot for the life of me understand why they don't get rid of these writers. Who would have thought they'd have been around this long?
