I went on to watch Blithe Spirit afterwards. I know he was a jerk, but Rex Harrison certainly was handsome when young. I was looking up the actors in the film and discovered one of them was the mother of a favorite actor of mine.

Whenever I see "My Fair Lady", I always wish the young Jeremy Brett had a bigger part! But for a singer-actor, you certainly couldn't top that fabulous "On the Street Where You Live" number he got to sing. At least, I hope he sang it-- it wasn't dubbed, was it?

I looked for it on demand and it wasn't listed. I have to see if tcm has a free app on roku if you get tcm from your tv provider.

Yes, @Oznell, both Jeremy Brett’s and Audrey Hepburn’s singing was dubbed. Some of Audrey’s own singing was mixed in.

Both had good singing voices (JB sang in choirs as a child) and very much wanted to sing, but TPTB decided as filming was ongoing and after that neither had the range to sound as good as they wanted. Both Audrey and JB were disappointed.

@lovescats There was a notation at the end that you could see the film through TCM dotcom. I don’t know “how” though as I didn’t go look.

if you go to tcm.com it will give you the option of getting the app watch tcm at the google play store and after the app installs you sign in with your tv provider.

The app isn't showing on roku yet but I think it will soon because roku has watch tbs and watch tnt now also through your tv provider.

@Oznell, this is the actor/singer who dubbed Jeremy Brett. He also did the Prince in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.

He had a terrific voice, @Moonchilde. And, I think it seemed pretty compatible with Jeremy Brett's speaking voice, which isn't always the case with "outside" dubbing!
