ANY MAJOR CRIMES FANS?

I just noticed in my TV scheduling that next Tuesday, October 31st, TNT network is having a small "marathon" of Major Crimes episodes during the day ... 9 episodes.

Check your local listings.

@Tinkrbl44 Still a fan. I posted on a previous thread this is the last season of MC.

As far as the marathon, I will check it out to see what episodes are showing. There are some that I wouldn't want to see again.

That's b/c the 6th and final season of 13 episodes begins on Oct 31st @ 9PM w/2 hr series finale on Jan 16.

S6 features the return of serial killer Phillip Stroh (played by Billy Burke). And the gang will be getting accustomed to a new boss.

The episodes included are the ones from earlier this year when Chief Winnie Davis joined the cast. None of those were standouts [for me] so I'll just wait for the new shows.

Not too happy the last season will once again be somewhat focused on the return of Phillip Stroh.

I have a friend that's in the TV production business. He said that the producers of Major Crimes are shopping the show around to other networks. Since TNT no longer wants the show, they are free to do so.

Funny thing ..... of all TNT's shows, Major Crimes gets the highest ratings! (How stupid are they to do that?)

Longmire with A&E was one of their highest rated shows when the network cancelled. Can't quite figure this out. I've read it's the wrong age group that's watching - but we are watching!!

If the last shows are about Philip Stroh, that means Rusty will be on the show all the time. I really am tired of him and his troubles. I was hoping he'd move to Berkeley to be with his BF.

Thanks for the info!! Been wondering when it would start again.......i really enjoyed the show very much before it was becoming the Rusty show......but it lessened a bit on his character the latter part of the last season...so hoping they will put him aside more this last season....will be looking forward to watching!

I agree.....sick of Rusty ...i really think if they hadn't centered on his character SO MUCH the last two seasons that they may not have been canceled......i think that was their downfall..................the other characters carry the show beautifully and people seemed to love them................didn't need Rusty's constant angst over and over..................and yeah...reading your post i realized it will be more Rusty...ugh.

Longmire is one of my all time favorite shows!! I loved the storylines, the characters and the amazing, beautiful scenery. I read the it was cancelled - after it went to Netflix - because it was too expensive to produce the show in Wyoming. (?) I think that was the state....

I agree, I was so looking forward to him GOING to college, but no luck there.

When I saw the marathon, I skipped it, for that reason, but I will watch the new episodes. I know the crime story part of the series will be good. The drama part, not so much.

There is a poster here who says it is made in NM. She was even an extra in a couple of the episodes. I don't know about the Netflix episodes-this was when they were on the network.

I was so happy the new season had started.....then ..... in walks RUSTY! Ugh! I totally agree with all of you about Rusty.

I wonder who DOES like him in the show? Sometimes people say, "Well, old grandmas". But I'm an old grandma and I can't stand him or his story lines.

I thought he was going off with Gus? Poor Gus, he's having a wonderful time with his boss and Rusty keeps bothering him.\

It's a shame that the writers felt the need to shove Rusty down our throats. I would have liked to see more of Sharon's kids, actually. I also miss the focus on the main characters, Provenza & Andy, for example.

I guess I'm one of the few that don't mind Rusty ..... his evolution has been interesting, IMO. The feedback must have been positive when they first introduced him, or they wouldn't have continued with his presence on the show .... I think.
