Anyone watching Jeopardy right now?

The current champion, Austin, has won $278K in seven days! He is a risk taker and kind of a kook, but very entertaining. I just set my DVR to record in case I am not home. If I remember correctly he is a bartender and lives in New York. He is a character.

He is very annoying to me....I will be glad when he is gone....but doesn't look like it will be anytime soon....I want to know how he finds almost every single double Jeopardy card? The card where he can double his wager or make it really huge, which he does often.. he seems very arrogant to me...

Yes, I love watching Austin! If I'm not mistaken he won $69K last night--in ONE night. I love it. Looking forward to tonight's show.

Watching right now in the NYC area and Austin has run away with the game and ha I guessed correctly on the final answer but he did not and the game was still a run away.

He answers more questions and each time he gets to choose the next so since he chooses more the odds of him finding the double Jeopardy are increased making it likely.

I like the way he doesn't jump in and answer every single question. I don't know if that is a strategy of his, or if he really doesn't know the answer.

DH and I are SO enjoying him! Quirky and clever and smart.... and Alex seems to really enjoy his personality too. Look out Ken!

I was shocked when his total came up for his seven days. He is so smart and I enjoy watching him. Does anyone remember Arthur Chu. Or Colby Burnett!! OMG I couldn't stand Colby. HAHAHAHA

I guess I'm in the minority here. I don't like him at all. Smug, arrogant, and he tries to be "cute" which is a major turn off for me. Just play the game. He is very smart, I'll give him that for sure.

That was a terrible category. You're probably the only one who enjoyed it. I think Austin is as cute as a disheveled puppy dog. My guess is that when he loses, it will be the result of a high Daily Double wager that goes wrong. Hang in there Austin!

I don't like him much anymore either. I hope he goes soon, but he is so much smarter than the other contestants, that it will take a genius to knock him out of there! I just prefer there to be a different champion every 3 or 4 days, instead of seeing the same one for 2 weeks! Spread the wealth!! LOL

Because I taught it doesn't mean I thought it was a good Jeopardy category.

I was just surprised Austin didn't ring in as he has a huge, well-rounded knowledge base.

@deepwaterdotter, I sort of think it is a wig. I've never seen a guy with that much hair! With him being quirky, he might be wearing it just to be silly!! LOL
