Niki Is a Terrible Actress!!

I'm sorry but Niki is a terrible actress. She used to be a good actress, but maybe because they seldom use her (except to say, "Victor, the children..........."

Lately, she's had to act. The camera has been doing closeups and it's just sad (compared to the other actors).

Hopefully, as time goes on she will be able to muster at least some of those tears or at least some boo hoos.

I've been thinking the same thing for some time now. I thought she was a lot better when she was younger. Her whispery, little girl voice is grating on my nerves, too.

Annabelle, I agree with you! They also need to dress her in clothes that FIT! She looks awful in the dresses she wears, they're too tight. It makes her look older, IMO~

Well, I guess we all did things a lot better when we were younger, but I have no problems with Nikki's acting! I thought she did excellent yesterday arguing with Ian, he is an animal, I hate him! I hope she resists drinking, but he'd drive anyone to drink, IMO!

I keep saying this because I believe it's true......Nikki has a bad back (which is why she doesn't stand straight) and probably takes pain medication which does a little something to her speech. Maybe her words aren't coming out well. I can't say anything about why her clothes are too tight. I speak up for the old folks cause I'm one of them and have changed a lot, lol.

foxie you are right!! I don't know why I didn't think of that. I think it might be the real Niki might be taking pain medication too (I don't know if it's the actress or the real person).

I take pain medicine but I know I don't slur my words but I'm sure I walk weird. I noticed her actually flinch when she was hugged yesterday. I remember thinking how much I like the way the producers (one of which is her husband) 'allowed' her to get just a little thick (maybe 10 lbs) over the years rather than to make her fit into a size 2 clothes. So I was watching her flinch and saw a tiny (really tiny) roll. Then I thought, I think it's the way she is twisting her back when he hugged her.

Anyway, I think you are right! I do stand though by the fact that she looks like she's trying to squeeze out a tear when lately she's had to cry.

Before that she just walked around saying a few things here and there. Now she has to cry (with close ups).

Thanks for that insight. I hadn't thought of that.

Hooty that guy who plays Ian is a good actor. He's been around a long time. He plays a sleeze bag really well. Just the way he raises and lowers his voice at certain times. He does it really well.

I totally disagree. The bad actress is the one that plays the new Kelly! Also the one playing Leslie isn't much better.

I had to watch the repeat on SOAP TV (I think it's called that) just now. I think Niki did a good job of acting when she was 'talking'(that is so dumb the way they talk out loud to the air).

Many people who started out being a SOAP actor all say that it was great training because not many actors are able to do it. It is usually only one or two takes, they say their lines (sometimes as many as 60 pages, I read) and the lights go out and everyone moves to another area of the sound stage.

They all say it is extremely stressful.

I totally agree. Kelly is horrible. Her role also changed with the new actress. All she does is follow Jack around and try to get into his bed.

What Nikki really needs is a good support bra. Her "boobs" are down at her waist and that makes her look strange in her clothes.

geraldine! You made me laugh out loud just now!! You're right about her boobs. You'd think with all of the money she makes (she and her husband) and the money they allow for the clothing in the shows, they'd be able to get her a good bra.

This is different/but similar, hope this makes YOU smile. I saw a card the other day that had a grandma standing talking to a little boy and the grandma said, "Stand back honey! I just had my ni ples pierced!" and she's looking downward and her dress is near the ground and just under it you can see two gold rings! Get it? I'm sorry, I hope it makes you laugh. Niki isn't that bad, I'm getting there!

She has the worse case of back fat I've seen on TV. I always think if I knew something about designer clothes, I'd probably know that her clothes are worth a lot of money.

I saw a 'behind the scenes' and Sharon Case talked about her clothes on the show. She even got out her wedding dress she wore when she married Nick. It was in the stock room. I think I saw it on UTUBE, it was really neat to see what when on behind the cameras.

Anyway, I drift off of the subject. Poor Niki. I kept thinking someone was going to jump out from behind one of the stones and say, "Gotcha"!

Did anyone notice on Wednesday's episode how Nikki was dressed when she met with Michael. Her clothes and hair were so matronly. I realize that she isn't going to dress like Lilly but still she doesn't have to look the Queen Mother. MTS is still a beautiful lady.

It seems like since KC is no longer alive they are turning Nikki Newman into the grand dame of GC. They can have her look elegant without looking dowdy.

I agree. MTS definitely needs a good bra fitting! She also needs a new hair style. Her hair did look matronly on the show Wednesday. She needs a cute short do along with some more sporty, stylish clothes. They dress her like she's ancient.

I don't know whether she has back problems or not but they also need to get her out of the high heels so she can walk.

I do remember a few years ago she had a really cute shorter hair style and it looked great.

I wish she'd get a huge make-over. She really looks like everyone's mother these days. She sure doesn't look like someone who is married to a Billionaire.

Speaking of Billionaire.....I'll bet Kay is rolling over up in Heaven the way Devon is throwing her money off of a roof! He's the biggest ding bat I've ever seen!

But back to poor Niki! Maybe we should take up a collection to get her some new clothes. She needs clothes that fit better. She really has fat back. I think her bra's too tight!

OK, I know I already posted here and this isn't the place.......but I have to say it......

For those keeping track (ME) it is now July 18th (12:07AM) and we still don't know STITCH's secret!!!

I think everyone has lost interest. It's not like I'm loosing sleep over this. I think that's why Devon went crazy and is throwing money away (he's worried, too, people).

Anyway, I just had to let someone know I'm keeping track so you guys don't have to.

Nikki is supposed to be a middle aged lady who has health problems and, to top that, a lot of emotional torment ...... to make matters worse, she's married to Victor Newman!

She definitely shouldn't be upbeat and perky!
