"The Zookepper's Wife" - Feature Film

This is a movie based on historical facts. WWII Poland. Not for those sensitive to Animal Cruelty or those sensitive to Nazi/SS treatment of human beings.

Well done movie. Wouldn't recommend for children.

I'm taking a hard pass on this film. I read that the scenes involving the animals are far too graphic and I will not be viewing this movie because of it.

The animal cruelty was another horrific dimension of those in power in Poland during WWII. I saw it Saturday- the Zabinksi's are such heros! FIlms about the Holocaust are vital so that we don't foget. History tends to repeat itself - & in many parts of the world, has already.

Rotten Tomatoes said the film missed bringing the full impact to the screen- I disagree!

I'm glad I read this because I was considering seeing it. Slow period for releases now, until May. And I love Jessica Chastain.

The human suffering is horrible, and I know I cannot handle graphic animal suffering. I know it's based on a true story, but no...just can't do it. I agree completely that movies like this are vital.

The animal cruelty wasn't graphic- they were shot and killed pretty instantly. Nothing like what humans went through.

Rotten Tomatoes saying the film missed impact? Maybe in reality the animals were killed in a more graphic manner. It was another dimension to the horrors of WWII.

I'm one of the 'sensitive' ones, I have no desire to see this movie.

That kinda thing, true or not, is not my idea of entertainment, which is why I watch movies.

I can educate myself on history if I want, it's all out there, but movies are strictly entertainment value for me.

I reminded myself the animals were 'Hollywood" animals but yet the past event didn't use animal actors.

The cruelty to people - that was another dimension in the movie but not as graphic as others I've viewed. The incident of the young girl was just too awful for me to ever forget.
