What does everybody think?

Will tonight be a goodbye or will she survive?

I sure hope hope it's the latter. I love the character and, this would be such a lazy, cliched ending. Both the actress, and the fans, who helped save the show, deserve better.

I had previously read that Connie Britton was going to leave mid-season. A few weeks ago, supposedly she said she was staying, so who knows what will happen tonight.

Last week's ending was definitely a suirprise.

She signed for 10 episodes. This is 6 or 7 so Rayna isn't dead yet.

Hopefully if they are picked up for next season she'll stay. Can't picture the show without her.

I recorded it and watching it now, just read a spoiler from another sight & know what happens. I know alot of people here record the show & watch it at a different time so I don't want to give it away.

Haven't watched yet, but I also had heard she was leaving the show, so I am not surprised by this ending, when the accident happened I thought to myself ok this is it I bet......When she originally said she wanted off, I thought she would with the possibility of being able to return down the road if she wanted to, but guess not!!!!I will watch the episode this weekend! I will really miss her character though, it won't be the same without Rayna and Deacon!!!!!

A few of us had posted when CMT picked the show up that Connie only signed on for X number of shows but I had heard they were negotiating with her for the entire season. I guess I just thought that would happen.

I wonder if CMT picked this show up just so it could wrap it up properly instead of hanging like NBC would have because the canellation was so late coming.

I can't see this show continuing without her and honestly, from the previews it looks like more soap opera type drama which I'm not interested in.

I loved this show in the beginning because it was about the music and their careers. Then it got away from that and became more about their personal lives and drama. This year hasn't been any different despite the fact they have new people in charge of the show.

Connie is one of the exec producers on the show. Remember Rayna did survive the terrible accident she was in when Deacon was drunk. I will be watching very soon, just waiting for Xfinity to load it on On Demand.

I wonder if she quit that as well? There is an article about this in Huffington Post and she said in the article this had nothing to do with money, it was time to move on.

She said some of her reasons were personal and some were creative and that's all she was going to say. The article didn't mention anything about her continuing on in her executive producer role.

I must say I was shocked since I have not read anything about her discontent with the show. I will finish out this season (maybe). If the dialogue is all around Maddie, then I am out . But time will tell..

So disappointed in the show! (Of course I cried like an idiot with this last episode.) To me the main reason to watch this show was the love story between Deacon and Rayna. Now that's gone! Sure not interested in watching Teddy and Tandy pick at Rayna's kids and her estate!!! Not sure I will keep watching. Watching Daphne grieve just breaks my heart!!

Connie has taught me everything I know as an actor. She has been a set mother to me since I was 8. She has been someone I look up to so much. Rayna Jaymes is a character that inspired and changed people's lives. I love you. RIP Rayna. Thank you Connie Britton for being such an amazing person. Yoby is a lucky boy.

i am just the opposite. i have never really been a big fan of rayna/deacon and have really missed the character of teddy in particular. i am hoping he is coming out of jail and wants custody of his daughters.

Rayna was the grown up on the show, so deal breakers for me will be -- Will Deacon drink again? I'm just going to pick him up and drive him to rehab if he does (after someone else takes him to the funeral in her new dress). Is Maddie going to continue to be a rude princess? What about Scarlett - will she ever have a day free of confusion?

Juliette is doing better... I hope.
