So is Red Lizzie's father or not?

I used to follow a James Spader thread (the disturbingly hot one) on here a couple years ago, but the show has gotten a bit boring this year and I haven't even been looking for one. So last week they supposedly answered the no longer burning question is Red her father or not? But obtuse me didn't understand it. Please help. And yes, he is still disturbingly hot, even though he acts like an adled great uncle at times.

I'm as lost as you are. I keep watching, but for me it's kind of like looking at the episodes through a kaleidoscope each week! I'm not able to follow!

I do believe he said he is Lizzie's Dad but he sort of mumbled.... They just want to keep us guessing. I was away from the boards for a long period of time so did not know that there was a James Spader thread.

If you think he is hot now you must see (if you haven't already) the movie, White Castle, which he did when he was 30 (and looked 20). My only claim to fame is that he and I grew up together and went a school together where both our Mom's were teachers. He was just as cute then.

Im not sure, but last night Red said he was, BUT, the fake father was treatening to kill him. Who knows???

Never more so than in the movie "Sex, Lies and Videotape" with James Spader and Andie McDowell. Anyone here remember that old movie?

I remember that movie. I didn't realize that was James until I saw him again in the series Boston Legal. It was that series that made me really take notice of James as an actor.

I don't think they confirmed one way or another. I'm about done with the show anyway. At this point, I'm only watching because I like Tom and Aram so much.

I'm done w/the show too. I am only sticking around because I want to find out where Mr Kapland is going to end up after being picked up on the side of the road. Also, how the series is going to blend in w/the spinoff-Blacklist: Redemption which we will find out Jan 2017.

I LOVED HIM IN BOSTON LEGAL AND LOVE HIM IN BLACKLIST TOO, I ALWAYS FIGURED RED WAS LIZZIE'S DAD, JUST BY THE WAY HE IS SO PROTECTIVE OF HER AND WHEN HE THOUGHT SHE DIED HE WAS DEVASTATED, THERE IS NOTHING HE WON'T DO FOR HER.

My personal thinking on this is that YES, he is her father.

Now, he said that he has never lied to her and he told her that he wasn't her father.

HOWEVER, in this last episode if you recall he said that he had actually "died" while in some place that started with M (I forget where it was). So...Red, Liz's father died, and Red, the criminimal we know was born.

Get it?

So, in that thinking then he did not lie to her when he said that "he" was her father.

Does that make sense and ya follow me?

That's what I think anyway.

Who knows, I think Red said what he wanted to hear just for survival. The show wants to keep you guessing. If he is Liz's father than they have lied to us the whole time!

I almost gave up after the first episode, but as soon as they showed Mr. Kaplan start to crawl away, I was back in. That's the better story line this season and they are being way too stingy with it. I don't carry about who Liz's dad is anymore and if it IS Red, I'll definitely be done because that's way to predictable.

I absolutely love the show. But it's the funniest thing -- I am crazy about Red on the show, but I absolutely detest the Liz character. I have never had a show where I watch because of one character, but can't stand another character on the same show. Crazy, huh?

I don't watch it anymore. At first I really was a fan and then it got complicated and with my spare time I just want simple... one episode that starts and ends with a conclusion... not on and on and on.
