Prisoners HBO Movie With Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal - Wow

I just finished watching Prisoners tonight on HBO. Man, that was an exciting thriller. You didn't know until the very end "who done it".

Has anyone seen it? If you like crime thrillers you will like this one IMO. It's on again later.

I was too since I don't like scary movies. This was pretty well done. Mostly bloody faces and some scenes that were suppose to be violent but they didn't really show it. Without giving too much away, two girls were kidnapped but they didn't show anything happening to them during that time. Very suspenseful.

luvmyteddy, thanks for the reply. I'm surprised no one else has chimed in with an opinion. Maybe I'll DVR it and then I can fast forward through some of it if I have to. I just hate torture scenes, and it seems to me when they were first advertising the movie, Hugh Jackman was torturing some guy to confess to the kidnappings. Maybe it looked worse than it was.

I saw it in the theater a year ago & I'm dying to know - how do you think it ended? Did they find him? I was furious they didn't make it clear!

Ending was frustrating,but it was a good movie-although in my opinion the movie was very loong and drawn out a bit.

I think he found him. It was said at the beginning of the movie that he never missed solving his cases. When the mother said she gave her daughter the new whistle and he heard it later, he knew. That's what I would like to think even though the father would have to pay for his horrible mistakes. I hate when movies end like this one did...

I watched the movie during a flight, it was better then I thought it would be, but then again I just love Hugh Jackman. The ending was frustrating but I took it to mean that they didn't find him.
