Robert Irvine (from Food Network) has a talk show?

Wow, I did not see this coming! I know tv line ups are changing this week and I was trying to find my usual show and there is Robert Irvine . . . yikes!

I don't mind a little Robert Irvine on the food network. Not so sure about him hosting a talk show.

I came across his show today...I was stunned it seemed so beneath him.....I only watched for a short time...and changed the station...I don't want to see Robert doing a show like Maury...

Yikes! That is a shocker. I never much liked him, as he's just such a drama queen.

I remember when he got married, though, and I rather liked who that guy seemed to be. Just in cooking shows and such, I don't really respond well to the drama queen type behavior.

I can't stand him.....far tooooooooo arrogant for me.

I understood, several years ago, he was fired from The Food Network for embellishing his resume but then a year or so later he was back on hosting various shows. I never understood why he was allowed back.

Why do you think this is "beneath" him? He seems like a guy who wants to be on TV by any means possible.

Why do you think this is "beneath" him? He seems like a guy who wants to be on TV by any means possible.

I only remember Robert from the Food Network and that other show he had...(something impossible)....I no longer have full cable so I haven't seen him till I saw his new show...

I guess I held him up to as a better person...not someone like what he is doing now...

Robert is one of my favorites. I have watched him in a lot of different shows. I was disappointed when he embellished his resume but, was very glad he was able to recover and return to television. I know I have made mistakes where I was very glad I was able to make amends and be forgiven.

I must say the show today is a shock to me. For the parts I watched, It did not work, and I am surprised they aired it.

If it lasts, there are a lot more folks in this world into that kind of thing then I thought.

It made me sad.

Is this a 'Jerry Springer' type of talk show? That's what it sounds like, but I may have to get the info from your link and give it a look-see, just out of a sense of morbid curiosity.

Oh my! Just checked the website and it does, indeed, look like a Jerry Springer type show. Not my thing, although Springer is actually a pretty nice guy. Seriously - could he not get more cooking shows, so this is the direction he's taking?

Upon further snooping around the Tivo Guide, I see the episode titles of the upcoming shows - dreadful! Just - seriously!
