Black Crowes song "Remedy"

I just fell in love with the old Black Crowes song "Remedy". I had heard it back in the 90s, but it didn't really register. I heard it coming back from a road trip yesterday, and it blew my mind. Now I can't get enough of it. I have watched different versions of it on YouTube and danced with no inhibitions to it in my home office (no hubs around to tease me!).

I checked out some of their other music and that is really the only song of theirs that knocked my socks off.

It got me wondering, any other great rock anthems that can still get you in the gut, that when you listen to them, you lose control and abandon your mature sensibility?

There's been a show on ABC ..."Greatest Hits". It's a good one. Last week Foreigner performed "I Want to Know What Love Is" and it took me back and I cried through the whole song. That song means more to me now than it did back in 1984.

That song does something to me too @SilleeMee. Makes me cry -- makes me feel all kinds of emotions -- and I don't even know why. It takes me someplace I've never been before (in my mind, that is). I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2 does the same thing to me. Haunting.

Anyone familiar with the old Boz Scaggs tune, "Somebody Loan Me a Dime"? I first heard it in the 70s on the Duane Allman Anthology album. It will take you to the depths of despair to soaring heights.

Boz Scaggs had another one that tore me up, "We're All Alone".

I loved "We're All Alone" @FLgardener. Yes, this was another song that was so intense and filled with emotions. Then again, at 20 I was young and in love, and everything in life seemed intense and filled with emotions!

Don't know why this hit my funny-bone........but the real crows (the ones with wings) in my neighborhood, imitate car alarms, phone ringers, etc..............

omg ...that is hysterical!! Those crows are so smart. I was out watering my bushes with my garden hose one evening and a couple of crows landed on the fence in front of me, just looking at me. I felt weird. So I decided to give 'em a squirt! They liked it!! They stayed on the fence with their wings open while I hosed them down! All they wanted was a good bathing.

@SilleeMee Despite their "dubious reputation", I find crows to be very interesting birds. I have a birdbath in the backyard.......and I find "shiny" objects -- pieces of foil or ribbon, sometimes a bright pebble that they have left behind. A "thank you"???????

How sweet of them to leave gifts for you! But I don't think that is really what is happening. Many birds will bring food to a watering place so they can wash it. Birds will often pick up shiney objects thinking they have found a glistening worm or beetle then leave it behind in the water once they realize it isn't food.

I'd rather believe their leaving me gifts any day!
