Is anyone going to watch new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life?

The new season starts June 8th. On the preview it shows Whitney I assume passing out? She seems to have some type of medical crisis. I read that it causes her to face the medical issues that she has and change her life. I really do like her and she's so young. I hope things are going better for her.

I watched some episodes but I found her so obnoxious I couldn't watch any more and don't plan to.

I watched a few episodes and also found her obnoxious and her parents her biggest enablers. (Nice folks though I think all in all) I think on initial shows I heard her say she blamed her weight on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or POD? But her eating habits obvious on Show were definately contributing to her unhealthy weight. I was embrrassed at the previews on those skis and shving something while (donut??) in her mouth and hope she gets help before she ends up really sick. I stopped watching TLC when it stopped being The Learning Channel and more about exploiting those willing to be exploited for money. (Little People, Bayou People, Alaskans, Tall women, the list goes on) I now call it The Leering Channel and i felt like a voyeur to scripted Reality TV. Best of Luck to her.

stormygirl: I SO agree about her parents. I actually find her mother either wishy-washy or bossy, she takes turns. I just think the whole family is a mess and she has horrible eating habits. THAT is why she is fat. I say "fat" because that's what she calls herself and it's in the name of the show.

I agree, Whitney is obnoxious but I am very, very sad for her. TLC almost takes advantage of her weaknesses.

I really wish she would lose weight for her well being. Seeing her stuff her face in previews is repulsive. I wonder if the boyfriend is still with her.

Her mother honestly is a character, I thought could only be made up in a writer's imagination.. The father seems the most normal of the bunch.

Please TLC, pay for her gastric bypass surgery for her. It appears that she won't live unless she does something about her weight.

I highly doubt that I will be watching.

Plus the fact that TLC has any Duggar Incest Shows, does nothing for me to want to watch any of TLC shows.

I saw she has many "followers" on TV social media and promotion of what she and others calls "fat acceptance" but is one thing to accept body type differences but these young followers she influences of way over 350 lb and morbidly obese are also going to burden their generation with the consequences and cost of thier life choices. Over 350 pounds is not acceptable to ones well being and is a costly buden healthwise and to the economy. One can see the misery and struggles of those poor souls featured on My 600 Pound Life trying to change the aftermath. I wouldnt call that a healthy and happy life? I think I saw on some TV Show social media some posters trying to address that with her and maybe is now being addressed on new season? Yea I found her Mom alittle passive agressive is the phrase? Yea I feel bad that TLC will use her till ratings drop and she will then be history and a blip on Reality TV. Why do they build these people up just to eventually tear them down burst their bubble (Honey Boo Boo LOL) WHen one puts themself out there why does it surprise them of the comments on social media I wonder? Anyway OMG the Duggars and Sister Wives I forgot about those baby crazed nutters who make a bigger carbon footprint in 1 week then I do in an entire year LOL. I have a friend who featured on TLC 90 day fiance and she told me the whole thing was scripted and she was terribly exploited. Resulted in a stomach ulcer when she took the social media bashing to heart. Sad as Reality TV is highly scripted and aimed at ratings no matter the danger to the family.

That's definitely the real problem, @Plaid Pants2. NOBODY does want to be morbidly obese, but after enough unsuccessful attempts at reducing one's size have failed, "accepting" obesity sometimes morfs into what seems to be an acceptable alternative.

There was just a comment on the news that compared to the general obese community, people who lose weight surgically ARE healthier by 3 or 4 percentage points.

Medical obesity has been cosmeticized, made the butt of jokes, ignored, penalized for SO LONG that it's easy to forget the real, researchable, scientifically definable facts about this condition.

I wouldn't be too quick to assume that this cheerful jolly fat lady is telling herself or anyone else the truth.

She's a charming person; you can't help but love her. I think that one very good thing about her TLC show is that she "humanizes" obese people--and obese women in particular. Too often, people only see an overweight person when they look at an obese person and not the "person." Her show does a good service by teaching/showing others that we are all JUST PEOPLE.

I've watched some of her shows in the past and will watch some of the new season. The problem is remembering they're on. I like Whitney and think she has fabulous parents, although her her mother is a bit too indulgent.

She's such a pretty girl, and it's a shame that she's more than double her healthy weight. I agree with those above who are concerned with this "fat acceptance" propaganda she puts out there. That's great for someone who's overweight but not what her doctor must have told her is dangerously obese. There's a big difference between losing weight for looks and losing weight to save one's health and/or life. I'll be thrilled if she finally tackles this problem in the upcoming season. Once her doctor tells her her weight is okay from a medical standpoint, she can legitimately talk about "fat acceptance" again.

Maybe she should go on My 600 Pound Life. That doctor does a great job with his patients and could help her.

I saw the preview. It was quite disturbing. It seems clear that this young woman is in danger of succumbing to the ravages of extreme obesity. It is not funny or entertaining. I hope that the producers of her program will have a conscience and get her the help she needs. Whether it's surgery or dieting, or both, she needs help. TLC has an ethical obligation to help.

I for one do NOT find her charming in any way. Saw a preview Sunday night where she EXCLAIMS "I love being fat." That's pathetic. She could be slowly killing herself which is a shame.
