Six Feet under Series being re-run on HBO channels on Dish Network

There has been discussion about Peter Krause Fans, and his newest show "The Catch" and also re-runs of Parenthood on the UP Channel.

Starting at 10 PM Central Time Tomorrow, HBO is repeating the entire "Six Feet Under" series from the very beginning. On one channel it is a real marathon involving dvr for days on end. Not sure if I want to do that.

I believe others had mentioned on another post that they had never seen the show.

What a great opportunity for more people to see this wonderful show!!

I've seen it two or three times and I think I might just start again. (I also have the DVD set)

Thanks so much for the heads up on this.

It's one of those shows that you can watch again and again and the ending is brilliant. I hope nobody posts spoilers without spoiler tagging them, so that the people new to the show won't be spoiled!

Oh goodness! I see that they are marathoning the entire series on one big hunk-a-time! (it's airing on HBO2 here with Charter cable)

Looks like it's also available on Amazon Prime and HBO GO, if somebody wants to just watch it a little slower and/or cannot record it.

I liked the catch at the beginning, but when the killing started for absolutely no reason, I chose to stop watching it. I loved 6 feet under.

Really is a marathon of 4 seasons here starting Thursday night and ending Saturday night. I have the Hopper receiver with Dish and I do not think I could record for 48 hours or more continusously. My receiver has to rest overnight to update or there are problems. Otherwise, would love to record all and watch at my leisure. Would have been better with even 5-6 episodes per day until complete. Will probably just watch some for nostalgia sake.

Six Feet Under was one of my favorites as well. I'll probably check out an episode (or 20 haha) but don't think I'll watch the whole series. I've already seen it beginning to end 3 or 4 times!

I've been watching off and on (had another really bad night, argh!) and it's just so addictive! I love this show so much!

You almost forget how much you REALLY loved this show until you start watching it again. I have four tuners on my living room tv so I'm going to keep one tuner on the channel to keep watching between things.

So tired that I don't expect I'll be doing much work today. hehe

Yes, he is definitely a good-looking guy! He was so good in this show.

My all-time fav is Michael C Hall. He is such a brilliant actor and he really took my breath away in so many scenes. Then there was Dexter! Oh my - I can't even imagine how he could possible top both of these shows!!

It was a long time before I could watch Jeremy Sisto in anything without seeing Billy Chenowith. That, near as I can remember, was my first experience seeing Sisto as an actor. He played that sick/scary character so well!

The whole cast was just great. Some of those opening scenes were positively epic. Just saw the one with the lady with the frying pan.

Of course this would happen soon after I cancelled HBO (and Showtime) ! I just cancelled the two premium channels on Saturday (after having had them both for years) because I was tired of my $220 / month cable bill. If only I would have waited a bit longer. Oh well. Six Feet Under is one of my all time favorite series (something I know I share with millions of others !). The entire cast is brilliant.

Have you ever seen the movie, Waitress ? Jeremy Sisto is a "messed up" character in the movie, but not nearly as creepy as Billy in Six Feet Under. *shudder*

I can only imagine how great Michael C Hall is on broadway. I did know that he did Broadway but I live out west coast adjacent so I've never been to a show. I know he can sing and move. As an actor, for me, he is in the Meryl Streep/Kevin Spacey category!

Actually, I have seen the movie 'Waitress'. Oh, darn, I cannot remember her name - famous in tv for her long, curly hair then I remember she cut it off and people about freaked out. Anyway, Sisto played a pretty icky guy in that.

When he had that short-lived sitcom, Suburgatory, I enjoyed him playing the light, comedic role. I actually liked tht show and was bummed when it was cancelled.

BTW, as I mentioned here a few days ago, in case you want to see SFU again, it's on Prime. Back then I was so dumb buying DVDs and, as each season ended and the DVD set became available, I purchased each season. So I don't have a box set, but I have the sets of every season. Now days you can get a box set of the whole series (if you are patient and wait until it ends. heh) for a decent price. Had I known, I might have even waited for blu-ray, as I do have a blu-ray player at this point.

I am totally enjoying the series again. I forgot just how great it is. Also Peter Krause is definitely more appealing as a younger man. My dvr shows this series started 15 years ago.

Also was thinking about Jeremy Sisto who is being discussed here too. He really was creepy. I believe he was in one fo the crime shows CSI or something. That is probably the only time I have seen him act like a normal person. He has always given me the creeps.

Off the subject, but another actor who has had the same effect on me is Ray Liotta. I can hardly look at him. Though I did follow the new series with Jennifer Lopez recently where he is the lead detective, and once again a creep.

Glad to have lots of episodes of Six Feet Under to watch at leisure. Not much else on right now for the summer.

@LogoFan, Your comment about Ray Liotta made me laugh out loud. I'm a big fan of his, but I agree that he was creepy and unlikable in "Shades of Blue". I loved him in Goodfellas and, actually, a lot of movies. Have you ever seen "Corinna, Corinna"? It's a sweet, touching story and he plays such a great, loveable guy. I think you'd find him a little less "distasteful" if you saw that movie. LOL
