I have a multi function air fryer that replaced several items in my kitchen. So yes, it's a great purchase! I'm health conscious with my food, and use it for just about everything other than 'frying'!! Even when recipes call for frying.

I don't have 'long term' faith in the newer brands like the tsv; mine is a mid-size Cuisinart.

I don't care for a lot of fried foods like French fries or wings, but, I could see myself using the rotisserie function for chicken and prime rib. Really can't decide!!😊😊

I'm a big fan of the Foodi 5-in-1 Grill. I do like to grill a lot and I got it to use instead of my Jenn-Aire cooktop whch smokes a lot and I had an asthmatic cat at the time that I bought it. It does take up a lot of real estate, but you can grill, roast, bake, dehydrate, and air fry in it. I roasted a turkey breast in mine for Thanksgiving and I'm looking to explore that roast function rather than air frying this winter. I prefer the 5-in-1 over the newer XL version because, 1. it fits the space I have for it and the XL wouldnt, 2. the main pot is deeper which means you can fit deeper foods in it although you would still have to spatchcock a large whole chicken to get it in, and 3. the heating element on the 5-in-1 is actually larger than the one in the XL which gives better browning. The air fry capacity for both is the same, 4 qt.

I guess it sorta depends on your style of cooking. I rarely would want to cook different items at the same time in the same unit and they would probably have different temp requirements anyways.

I got mine primarily for roasting things like salmon and vegetables in the summer, when I didn't want to turn on my oven because it would make the house too hot. It definitely served it's purpose, although once the weather got cooler, I switched back to using my oven. Coincidentally, we have a new stove/oven on order, and one of the features is that the oven is capable of air frying! I won't be able to report on the results of this until February, when it will be delivered.

My thought in regards to AirFryers is reduce items on my kitchen counter!! Had an Air Fryer in the past but since I had it stored away elsewhere in my kitchen, it never got used. Had been thinking of buying a combination toaster oven/ air fryer combo recently, so I can rid my counter of the standard toaster. They all seem to have a toaster preset. However, I see no toaster preset on TSV. Therefore, I will pass!!

I have a Ninja 5.5 Qt. traditional (basket) air fryer and use it every day, several times a day. I love it. I air fry everything from toast, salmon (best, most tender salmon I have ever eaten, in 5 minutes!), vegetables, sausages, hamburgers, roasted potatoes, egg frittatas (I use a small frittata pan that I already owned), chicken cutlets, chicken wings, etc. Add to that, I use it to reheat leftovers.

I only use my microwave for the 10 to 15 seconds to reheat my tea or coffee about once a week.

I do not use my air fryer for steaks, ribs, or pork chops, no matter how good they claim it cooks them. I want a particular sear on my steak to make it the best tasting, in my opinion.

The reason I'll pass on the TSV is that I have no desire to cook everything at one time in that small space. I want my salmon to taste like salmon and my asparagus to taste like asparagus. Whatever you cook on the top rack drips down to the lower racks. At the very least, the flavors all circulate together.

Air frying is already very quick; I am not going to muddle all my flavors for the sake of cutting the cooking from 30 minutes to 15 minutes.

I was going to say this as well. The air fryer has all the heat come from the top vs a convection comes from top and bottom and the air fryer doesn't require preheating. But they are basically the same.

Wouldn't be without mine. We have a small one because I generally make one or two servings. Anything you like a little crunchy comes out perfectly. They are great for chicken nuggets, tator tots, onion rings, egg rolls, garlic bread, and even reheating a slice of pizza. My only disasters came from breaded cheese curds and mozzarella sticks. To be fair, the instructions said not to put those in an air fryer, but I had to try!
