I have one but have never looked for them

I think you need the antenna for that

No, not in the same way. If the channel has an app you can access it that way.

I use a couple news apps, one is local & has limited broadcasting on it but it gets me the weather & local news.

I cut cable years ago and use Amazon Prime Video & Hulu with my Fire TV Stick. It is a different way to watch programs but I got used to it quickly and would never want to go back to scheduled network TV.

@DJPNo. He says on the video that you would need an air antenna. It will pull in local stations.

Not alone. You either need an over the air antenna or a subsciption to a service like Hulu Live or YouTube TV that you can access through the Firestick.

I use a Firestick and a small antenna I got from QVC for I believe $16. I get 11 local stations with the antenna and more than I will ever watch with the Firestick. You just have to use your remote to toggle between TV and HDM1 to go between using the Firestick or your antenna channels. It’s easy to do.

The Firestick has nothing to do woth local channels. You can get a small, inexpensive interior antenna with which you can view all local stations, plus I get QVC, HSN on it too.

I also tried this and missed it a LOT-back to cable + Firestick for me.

You can only do this if you live in just the right spot-I could not get ONE channel in without cable and I did buy all of the recommended antennas(antennae?)

I tried multiple antennas, too, with no luck.
