I have been waiting for info on this TSV, price was $142, so now the price will be $129. They threw in a cookbook, so the item # changed. Not much of a savings with $20 shipping. Disappointed...was hoping for a better price and free shipping.

It's a handsome machine but I was wondering how opening those french doors would work on an all-ready filled countertop. I bought the KitchenAid counter-top oven and love it - - but have to give my bread board a 'shove' when dropping the door down. Love the K-A - no more 30 inch range for a baked yam.

Hi, I think it is a good deal, when l got one last year there was no Copper color no cookbook, and a cookie sheet. I can use an extra bake pan maybe I will contact Oster if they sell extra pans.

Wish I had the cookbook they are offering the Cookbook alone on OSTER website $19.99.

I have had the older drop down door model for several years, purchased at WalMart for $99 and I absolutely love it. Never use my full size oven anymore except for holiday dinners. What I love is the interior size of the oven, I can fit almost anything in it that I normally cook/bake with.

The only thing that would make me "upgrade", as much as I like the new door style, interior light, and pre-heat, would be a timer that goes longer than 90 minutes. I often slow roast for several hours and have to remember to keep upping the timer so it doesn't shut off.

I wanted this so bad last year, but I found out it has a non-stick coating which I can't use because I have Parrots and the fumes will kill them. I searched everywhere for a toaster oven without a non-stick coating and found a Waring Pro on Amazon and it was a discontinued model, but it is fantastic. I paid around $99 for it, mine is not a cheap type of toaster oven, it is definitely substantial. I am glad I got that one.

Bed Bath & Beyond also sells an Oster French Door convection oven. Looks to be about the same size at the TSV. On the BB&B website, it is listed at $149, and with your 20% off coupon, it will come in around $120. And shipping would be free at that price point. If you have a BB&B nearby, you may want to check it out. And, too, it gets pretty good reviews on their website.

I looked at the oven at BBB today; it is very nice indeed, the doors work great, nice size, pretty.

Differences? The TSV has digital controls and I want that, rather than the knobs. I've had two countertop ovens with these knobs and they wear out, are harder to read the tiny numbers and settings. The digital controls look easy and looks like there might be more options.

From the measurements I took at BBB compared to the TSV the QVC one looks quite a bit larger especially in depth, almost 5" deeper. It would definitely fit on my counter but come within just a few inches of the edge. I think I'll go ahead with the QVC version after I see the presentation because of the controls and the larger capacity.

You can easily check and compare the specs of both online, I just happened to be shopping there and decided to look all all of them displayed.

This brand/style looks really nice in person!

It wouldn't appear QVC's price is a bad one or out of line with others, but their shipping, as always, is high. They do offer a choice of colors, which I've not seen elsewhere. I have another style Oster (my second) and while I loved the first, I'm not as fond of this one, though I still think it's a good appliance. I don't see the point to the French doors. It would seem they would make it awkward to use since unless I'm missing something, you need both hands just to open and close the oven. The video on the QVC website is rather pointless. While it shows the various uses for the appliance, all you really see is someone pushing buttons and then the finished product.

I just ordered this in red after waiting for awhile for it to come back in stock. Countertop ovens with drop down doors aren't an option for me phyically and I can no longer bend down to use my regular oven. I'm eager to get this and get back to cooking in an oven! I had a gift credit that took care of the shipping costs, so that wasn't an issue for me.

It's early and I just took a quick look at this.

It just looks huge to me. I have a large kitchen, but it would be huge on one end of our counter. I wouldn't like that. But that's coming from me, a person who has never even owned a regular toaster oven because we don't need one and wouldn't use it.

I wouldn't really have a need for it. We have double wall ovens and I'm just fine turning them on and cooking whatever it is that needs cooking.

Plus, I'm nervous about all that heat sitting on the counter, so close to the wall behind it. It's the same feeling I have with the Duraflame fireplace looking heater things.

It's like any other kitchen appliance though. Some of us love them and have a need for them and some don't.

Oster is a good name. For those purchasing, enjoy.

Seems well priced to me, but wish it had free shipping which all TSV’s should have. Just wondering how much I would use one of these ovens. We are seniors with a normal toaster on the counter. Have never even used a toaster oven, even when raising 3 kids. I don’t cook the way I used to and no longer use my regular oven on a daily basis. Microwave works just fine for many items I heat up for hubby. I can see ordering this appliance for a large family, but really what is the advantage of using this over my regular/convection oven? And my range is self cleaning. I’d think this Oster oven would get very gunked up. My daughter replaces her toaster oven every couple years because of stuck on food.

My daughter replaces her toaster oven every couple years because of stuck on food.

@CJC Because it is smaller, it comes to temperature much quicker than a regular oven. It uses less energy and is at countertop height versus having to bend down and lift things in and out, so mobility is better. Several ovens these days come with a smaller oven on top and a larger/regular sized oven on the bottom for these same reasons. This is also convection, so you can do an "air fry" in it if you like, doubling for another appliance. In many small apartments, they don't have room for a range, so they have hot plates/induction burners and toaster ovens. Tiny homes would work well with these. It really comes down to your cooking lifestyle. I have had a Delonghi convection/rotisserie oven for over 10 years now and use it for small batches of things right up to my 9 x 13 casseroles. This morning I used it to bake garlic bread to go with my salad and veggie lasagna for breakfast. I use it for many breakfast items, brownies/cookies, meats, etc. It does help when you are doing a lot of baking to expand your cooking into. When we have family gatherings I use mine a lot! I'm not bitting for this one because the French doors wouldn't work in my narrow kitchen space for it. I would bump into it, as opposed to my drop down door that I can stand to the side of and get things in and out of but not with the French doors.

I actually own 2 of these. Yes, two! Well, actually NOW I own one of these as I gave the stainless steel one to my friend.

Here's the story, I bought the red one and my friend said, "You have another one just like it in the rec room (where I store my 'stuff' still in a box". I said, "OK"? She said, "I'll buy it from you". I said, "No! You can have it". Like I've said here before, this is how I repay friends. They enjoy helping me....they don't need money...they like things...I give them things...good idea.

So now, back to my red one. It's sitting in the kitchen on the island. Has it been used? No, it has 'stuff' sitting on and around it. Not "it's" fault. I just don't cook much anymore. I eat out 4 to 5 times a week (mostly late lunch with a friend).

I STILL intend to use the TSV and am trying to will myself to cook a little more often. I eat healthy when I eat out (no fast food) but I think my problem is I mainly only eat one meal a day (slows down metabolism) plus I don't have a thyroid (that affects a lot). Hence, my TSV purchase.

I wouldn't have even known it was the TSV today except when I came here to visit with you guys (my cyber friends) I saw it on the QVC home page!

I'd like to be able to say, "It's awesome". But I wouldn't know. When I get around to using it, I'll be sure to let you guys know. Ha!

Don't judge me ladies. I'm sure there are more people like me than want to admit. Not buying this but other products. As with so many other items, it might end up in Denver with my daughter. She's an amazing cook and is (as a matter of fact) in the midst of writing a cookbook on the in's and out's of cooking in the great outdoors.

I just thought of "one more thing". My friend I gave the other TSV to said she uses her's all of the time and loves, loves it! She said it works great and if I need her to will be happy to come over and teach me how to use mine. You see, she knows me real well.....I don't read directions......hummm...that's another one I'll have to work on improving. Stay safe dear friends....

I already have a counter top oven by KitchenAid that isn't as big as the TSV, but I would never give up that amount of counter space. I can't imagine that something that big doesn't generate a lot of heat so it wouldn't be much better than a regular oven in the summer. I'm not spending any money anyway, so no sale.
