Sorry, the model looks moisturized only. You cannot lift, firm or tighten skin with a topical product. QVC allows false claims about many of it's beauty products, Shameless.

The cosmetic presentations everywhere are all about exaggeration and unabashed lying. There must be huge profits for the sellers of this stuff. Every other week a new line arrives on some channel and an unsuccessful one slinks away. As soon as a woman achieves semi-celebrity status, someone slaps her name on a jar of goo and claims they've found the fountain of youth.

If this stuff is so wonderful, why do women (and men) spend thousands on cosmetic surgery? All they really need is one of the all-too-frequent TSVs. Why do none of the presenters look young? Why does someone like Dr. Denese have cosmetic surgery?

Although I have used Dr. P products for a long time and do like them......I can't defend the 'act' we see on these presentations. I also can not sit through the over the top statements. Couple decades ago there was a product (On Q) called ...Bee Alive. Eventually a group of people and/or the government caught up with the woman and there was a class action filed against the company. I received a few bucks from the settlement cuz I had purchased one or two items from the line. I think Dr. P's company should tread lightly. (just saying)

@fthunt Unfortunately exaggerated claims seem to be perfectly acceptable. Today's has been an unbearable overload of them, hour after hour. Who is so desperate they listen to all of this stuff? It's not just QVC, all the shopping channels do it. It has gotten to the point where over-priced cosmetic are in danger of dominating the TV shopping industry.

One thing I noticed right off, the woman selling the magical creams looks like she's been under the knife, and had most of her face tightened up. What hasn't been under the knife, looks like it's been Botoxed to the max.

I rarely watch cosmetic shows, but was curious today to see what the claims were.

I agree that they looked moisturied - both the model and the vendor. Both looked as though they had heavy cream on their faces and looked greasy. Also I didn't think the before and after shots showed anything amazing. I might have ordered if there had anything I could believe, but . .. ..

Another thing I don't get is they keep showing and applying to the same models. Why does it make a huge difference after the application, but yet in the next show hours later that same model is back to her original before application look. What happened???

Dana has used this same model for at least 2 years. Don't you think the model would want to use the products in her own beauty routine.? If the products do produce the claims being spoken why wouldn't she?

I don't particularly care one way or the other about the claims they make for the products. We can all try them and return, if we think they're having no effect.

What always gets me is the way they tell us how much we're "saving". Saying that the TSV would be nearly $900, if we purchased it separately, is ridiculous. Who in her right mind would pay that much for three products?

Even if I had money to burn, I wouldn't do that. And $200 is too much in my opinion. Don't most of their demographic have everyday bills to pay? No way could I justify that. But that's just my own opinion and I know others probably think it's a bargain.

If you have not tried the product for at least 6 weeks then don't knock it. If you can't afford it, or don't want to pay the money...this is a free country, don't buy it. There are a a bazillion products out there that are a perfect match for each and every person out there

I have used Perricone for years, and the products I do use work for me. I am 69, and picky as heck. There are some Perricone products that don't work for me as well. Skin can be firmed, tightened and smoothed. It isn't like a face lift for heaven's sake. I appreciate the firmness it does give me. The sub d is a miracle cream for me. It just gives the skin a little tighten under the jaw line. Use it for a month or two, then go without it for 3 weeks and you will see. Nothing gives permanent results, all creams can work until you quit using them for a while. All creams are like

That, or we wouldn't have to reapply hand lotion, body cream, etc.

Perricone neck cream tightens as well, as do many of their other creams I use. They also last a long time. You only need a little. So many of the creams I get I use for specific areas, so they can last up to 6 months.

it just burns me to no end every time a skin cream is on, especially Perricone, dr Denise, and a few others,the fangs come out. Mainly about price. There are lots of things I wouldn't pay for, or want to....but I don't feel people are idiots for buying them. They just have a different need, and to each their own.

As for "lying" ...that's why God gave us brains. To figure it out. There isn't an item on qvc the hosts won't encourage you to buy. Everything on qvc is Something we "can't live without", is the greatest buy, is in limited quantities, at the final introductory price, and each host has 10 of. It is either Madison Avenue, Fifth Avenue, the envy of all your friends, and we need to get on the phones asap!!! That's what sales people do....sell. Of course each vendor thinks their product is the greatest. It is up to each of us to figure out what we want, what we need, and what we can afford. By the way, I dont buy my Perricone on QVC, but once in a great while. I buy everywhere with coupons, discounts, rebates and F&F sales. What I cant figure out is this: I love Perricone, but I couldn't sit through a 20 minute presentation. How can people who hate Perricone, the hosts, the vendors, sit through it all? Just sayin😁🤔

I don't watch any of these skin care lines. It is all hype and when people have facelifts and botox--that says it all. If you have good skin, the creams will only enhance it. If you do not have good skin, the only help will be from surgery. It is sad that they deceive many people and they are anxious to look younger than they are. I think our society does not accept aging and to me there is nothing wrong with aging. You have two choices--either you age or die. You can do whatever you want if it makes you feel better about yourself but you then have to realize nothing is going to stop your skin from aging.

I rarely watch the shopping channels and have not missed them. I like to do it on my own. I feel I get better results and have not spent a fortune on misleading claims. All you need to do is look at some of these vendors and know their products will make your skin look better as long as you continue. When you stop, your skin will go back to what it looked like before the products.

I'm with you, shoekitty! Perricone, for example, has rave reviews here, on Sephora, on Nordstrom, on Neiman, etc., are we to believe all those people are idiots who just fell for the hype and don't look in the mirror? What works for one person may not work for another, but if there's a chance I might be pleased with the results I'll give it a try. The worst that can happen is I don't respond to it. I'll survive. :-)

When I see the posts screaming "DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY -- GARBAGE!" that irritates me, too. How dare someone presume to tell me how to spend my money and again, what about all the other people who might really be happy with the product? If it doesn't work for them, say so, or give an "in my opinion" disclaimer, but don't issue an edict condemning a product when clearly others aren't in agreement.

Finally (!) people who tell you a product is not worth the money, don't believe the hype, plenty of other identical offerings out there with lower costs, but haven't even tried it! My Tatcha cleanser comes to mind. I LOVE it. Yes there are other, less costly cleansers that will take off the makeup, but none I've found that feels as good and rinses as well as Tatcha. The hubris to claim to know a product is nothing special yet don't have first hand experience.

I was so happy to see your post and wanted to jump in and link arms, sister! I ordered this TSV and although I've been kind of meh about other Perricone produts I've tried, haven't tried these particular ones, so looking forward to it. Happy you've found results!

Totally agree with YOU. Well written article!. Do not believe any other words could be stated. You write beautifully. I am yourage and love Perricone. At my age I may have tried every product on the beauty Q.I am no beauty butPerricone helps me to feel better about my skin. IF it works for YOU great. If not , you have the choice. I'm another Perricone fan. I have tried and use a number of different lines, just to mix things up a bit. I've found the best results from the Perricone line, by far. Love the eye serum, etc. I thought the TSV was priced well. The products last a long time.

Just as a quick example... I've been using Dr. P for about 10-12 years. When I first purchased and before I opened the kit, I has used KS enzyme treatment on my face (I do not have sensitive skin). It said to leave on 2 mins, I left it on just under a minute. It left me with a little burn like patch on my cheek. I tried several things to clear it up, and nothing was making a difference. NOTHING. The skin was still irritated. Then remembered I had my new Perricone kit. I forget which product I applied (it's been over a decade), but it cleared up the patch in 2 days. Yes, I go off of it using other things, but it's my core line.

They should say that results are temporary. That explains to everyone that if it works for you then you must keep using it or your skin will get flaccid once again. I use Dr Denese and have tried a lot of other things too and what shoekitty has said is true...some products have a tightening affect but you have to keep using them because it's not like a facelift.

I cannot abide the claims of these guys peddling skin care. Huge profits with these products, but most of the quality of skin lies in how well you eat and exercise, a little genetics and if you've committed to a lifetime of good, diligent care, despite the products. Any time a product like this is comparable to a car payment, something is wrong.

@Ptaz People go out to dinner and spend more than that. I would hope that people would spend in line with what they can afford and what they think gives them Value. It's all a very individual decision.
