They seem to be pitting the Ninja against the Vitamix. Wasn't the Vitamix the TSV not long ago? In fact, a couple of times over the holidays.

Good grief. QVC really needs some new products.

Most retailers offer a high quality and a cheaper version of a product. Vacuums are a prime example. After reading some reviews and lifting a Vitamix and a Ninja, there was no comparison in quality. Got the Vitamix for our son and his family. I wanted something that would last for years and built in the US.

Thanks for posting the link to the video... the guy was fair in his comparison and what an eye opener for sure.

It is apparent that these 2 machines should not even be compared even though Ninja may want to make that leap. The Ninja is good for what it does and has its limits and is priced to that market. The Vitamix is good for what it does and is priced accordingly.

The lead issue is a big deal though especially for an item that is used to process food. That is a deal breaker right there.

Re: The link to the video - if you haven't figured out this person sells Vitamix blenders (so he is more than just biased toward the Vitamix). Has anyone seen the box where it says what he claims (Photoshop is a universal advertising tool these days) ? As for the bit about the Ninja being made in China and the Vitamix being ""assembled"" in the USA - where are the parts for the Vitamix made - as they say - the devil is in the details.

I bought the Ninja Ultima and I love it! Sure, a vitamix would have been nice, too but the ninja price was much better and does the job for me. I didnt get mine from qvc, unfortunately and paid more.

I just think people usually buy the cheaper machine = try it for a bit and realize it isn't all that its cracked up to be or dies - then they end up buying the Vitamix. My husband has a 16 year old Vitamix still working and we upgrade and got the new 7500 series - my husband still using ole 16 year old machine - but we don't want to be without it!

The lead stuff would cause me to want to ship it back - the blades in the Vitamix are very very stong - Restaurants/Kitchens have the Vitamix - I feel its worth the money...To each their own.
