TSV Air Innovations Humidifier

Good morning! Does anyone own this humdifier? I tried to read the reviews but for some reason they won't display. It looks like there were 8 reviews which averaged 3.5 stars. Of course from the on-air presentation I would expect 5 stars haha but 3.5 makes me think there are some issues. So if anyone has any personal experience with this item to share here I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I own a previous TSV which is much larger. Didn't even use it last winter. In my view, they're a pain in the neck to keep filled with water for very little benefit. Today's TSV is small so it would require frequent filling.

My wife hates the one we bought last year. The white dust is horrible. Tried filtered water and it didn't help. Also tried distilled water from a local store, it caused a real greasy film in the unit under the tanks. Don't know what the answer is. She spent all spring, cleaning the house. Even got in our clothes hanging in the closet. Had to rewash everything. It did work well in humidifying, but my wife has ordered me not to get it out again this winter. Don't what we'll do, but it won't be the cool mist type.

I was just going to post about this. I also can't see the reviews nor the questions and answers. So irratating. QVC will say it is my computer so I guess I won't order. I could use another one but I will make do with what I have. Hmmmmm....and sales are down!?

I have an older model of this unit. I would concur with the white dust being on the base of the unit, I just wipe it down, and it was a major pain filling it. Other than that the unit did what it was supposed to do which is help keep moisture in my bedroom when I am asleep at night. I have allergies and this unit I feel helps tremendously during the colder months.

I have purchased this TSV in Taupe and I am looking forward to filling it from the top, and not having to lug it to my bathroom to refill. I also like the fact that it has the spout, so that I can just have the mist spewing out at a higher level. The digital controls will come in handy as well.

I was able to read a few of the reviews for this Air Innovations TSV earlier today before they were "hidden". There were a few that actually referred to last year's model and gave this new top filling model low marks because last year's model was a pain to fill (Seems they didn't realize it is now top filling). Another person said the one they had from last year pooped out after a few months. So those brought the rating down.

I decided to give it a try since I don't think the price is bad for the features and free shipping. I'm hoping it ends up working well!

WOW..now the item page shows 7 reviews, all 5 stars! That's a major change from earlier when it showed 8 reviews with 3 1/2 star rating. But, you still can't read any them. I won't order if I can't read the reviews first.

I've had the smaller one for years and this one for a couple. I've never understood the bad reviews. I have black ones and I don't have white dust anywhere. If I needed one, I'd buy another.

Maybe that's because a lot of them (I read them earlier before they disappeared) were about an older model? I do agree though that the reviews they've left should be available to read.

However, I'm not sure how anyone "reviewed" this, if this is a new model.

It (the white dust) got through your closet doors? Very strange.

Most people do spring cleaning anyway, so I guess that wouldn't bother me. I'm thinking of trying this one, since it refills from the top. If I don't like it (or it causes a white dust to blanket my entire house), I'll send it back.

They do what they are suppose to do but only last thru the winter if you are lucky. Mine only lasted 4-5 months the 1st season of use. When I got it out to use the next winter it worked for a few nights & quit working. Pretty bad it only lasted 4-5 months. You should not have to buy a new humidifier each winter. I did not have a problem rinsing it out & filling up with water every day. I wanted it to stay clean. I used water from our reverse osmosis system. I never had a problem with any white dust. The one year I did use it I got sick. Have not been sick since. Coincidence??? I don't know.

Here are the reviews with 3.8 Avg if you want to read them. Looks like you either get one that works or you get one that does not work well. It has the dual water tanks with the extension like the TSV has.

The QVC web page for this TSV is very frustrating. It says there are 28 questions being asked with 51 answers but when you click nothing happens. I called customer service to report this problem and was told. "I dont have control over any of that". Well that was extremely helpful, thank you. Guess I wont be ordering since I cant find anyone to answer my question about this item.

I just want to know if I put this on a wooden dresser will it discolor the wood finish.

@KellyMS - I think pretty much every brand of humidifier I've looked at says not to put it on a wooden surface for that reason. I just put a tray under mine (the one I have now is a Homedics) to prevent any water damage.

You can click on the 2 links I posted above or search the item numbers to read reviews or answers to questions.

If your dresser gets wet during use or the unit leaks yes it will damage your dresser. I put ours on a TV tray to use while it lasted. You could always set a towel under it. I did notice the carpet in the bedroom was damp when I used it so I had to turn it down.

Hi. I sent an email earlier to:

QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com

to report the problem with reading questions/reviews. They said they would report to on-line techs to correct the issue.

I too am suspcious of the fact that this information is unavailable. Also, some people receive emails or the Insider to pre-order the TSV, so possible that reviews and questions could be available for this new unit.

I have ordered many Air Innovations Humidifiers in the past. I have no choice because of health issues I use 3 in my condo every winter.

I did order one of the newest TSV because of the top filling convenience.

Also, I have never found a humidifier that does not leave white powder everywhere. And yes, it does creep into everything including kitchen cabinets and everything in them. It is frustrating. It would cost me a fortune to use distilled water in 3 units daily. Looks like it would not do any good anyhow from some comments here. Just live with the issue.

At least hoping that I do not have to carry around units every day to fill them with this new unit. Will order more if it works out well.

Hi icezues, hope you see this? I see you have the Taupe color from previous order? The Tvs has an ivory shade? Would prefer the ivory shade as opposed to the Taupe. Am a bit confused with that??

I live upstate Ny,and winters are long and cold...

Have nasal issues,sinus,alergy you name it... I have a Sharp humidfier which i think was a Tsv from the Q? Not sure but may have been two years ago... Do not like the fact that you need to refill taking the unit out to refill.. Also the bottom base does not empty completely so that has to be taken out and emptied,and cleaned....

I did not use it last winter since i develeped AFIB,and too heavy to do all that...

Have well water.. I had a Cullagan softner until it broke down...

Do use distilled water for certain appliances i use..

I have a Uv lamp which does purifier for cooking,and drinking...

Did want to read reviews however could not get link to work...

If anyone here has the TSV please reply... Very important to know if it is quiet,and will spray water out on furniture.

Did like the fact you can regulate the mist which is wonderful..

My bedroom measures 13 by 16 feet.

I have an air cleaner i use nightly by my bedstand...

Not sure if i would use it on my dresser which is oposite my bed....

Sorry did not mention i have a kingsize headboard and two connected twin beds...

My husband has some health issues. We are elderly and hard to do any heavy lifting etc...

Sorry this is long,but important info needed...

Any import would be appreciated very much..

Every Air Innovations humidifier I have had ( probably every humidifier ) will leave a very fine white dusting. On the nightstand by my side of the bed, I have a chocolate hand towel over the top of the nightstand which is same color wood veneer.

We also have well water....it can be hard because of the minerals. Even when we use warm water which goes through the softener, it will leave the dust: salts in the softener.

I empty it every weekend so I know what you mean about water in the base. For ease in getting your humidifier to and from your water source, can you use a small wheeled cart ? Saw one this weekend at Bed Bath & Beyond.

I purchased one of these I believe it was from this same company a few years ago from QVC.

After about 4 months it started to leak...What a waste of money and it was around $100-.

I won't purchase another. If you want moisture in the house...Place an pot on stove top and simmer it on low. Wolla...Moisture.

Also, many of you who have wood burning stoves, all you have to do is buy a cast iron kettle and place it on top and make sure it is always filled with water...Moisture...The same thing.
