George Foreman TSV

Has anyone gotten today's tsv on pre-order? If so, would you share your opinions?

Considering it due to the broiling feature. However, guess there was one bad review which was removed and now there's a five-star review. So would like to know your pros and cons.

If if you go to Goodwill, you will see lots of these there. Gives you a good idea of just how much people did not like them. Perhaps buy a used one at Goodwill for a couple dollars, and try it out first.

This is a new model. I've got an older GF and thought I might upgrade. Looked on other sites and nothing on this model yet. Did find a GF with the broil feature without removable plates and other plates and people seem to like it. So was wondering how this model worked. But, thanks for your reply!

I don't have this model, but the one that I own does have removable plates, and in my opinion this feature is a must. My mom had one of the eariier ones without the removable plates and it was a bear to clean.

I don't understand why this is better than using a gril pan or griddle on the stove, or your broiler in the oven. Maybe I'm missing something. . . but we do steaks and burgers a lot in a grill pan and they are great. NO complaints. We also have a two burner griddle that gets a lot of use--just goes over the gas burners.

As with any product sold on Q, I would highly recommend that you read reviews posted elsewhere, like on Amazon or Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and other sites that also sell the product. I did a quick check and this product has been reviewed by many, many people on many, many sites. I'd start at Amazon and go from there.

I think it is worth it only if you use it, otherwise it is a waste of money. Based on the presentation I saw, it would end up in my basement on a shelf collecting dust. I'm just not into a lot of kitchen appliances. My stove top and oven serve me well. JMO.

There was an article and press release that George Foreman was launching the latest iteration of his grilling machine on QVC. This new iteration is nowhere else. My 4th George Foreman Grill konked out after two years and I could not purchase this new iteration fast enough. I have loved all of my George Foreman Grills and find them a good addition to my kitchen. It cooks food fast and keeps me slim and saves me money since I can make real food quickly. I no longer order pizza or stop at McDonald's etc. I grill meat, vegetables, etc. on my machine. When I work late I can come home and quickly make my dinner. One of the best appliances in my arsenal.

Did anyone see the show this morning with Mary Beth? Hate to say this and nothing against Mary Beth, but she dropped one of them and it smashed. If it breaks that easy, I don't want it. I felt bad for her. That made my mind up on it.

I did see the show with Mary Beth. She knocked it down from pretty high up so I don't fault the machine for breaking. That was definitely "user error" (mistake). I ordered one for my Father for Christmas. I think he will really like it.

I'm thinking, waitlist might be the best way to go 'cause some reviews will most likely, hopefully, be up prior to waitlist fullfillment.

@st3sflower Oh I agree, ,but it almost broke like glass, that scares me.

I thought a lot about that breaking, and I asked myself , Self? When is the last time you dropped an appliance on the floor, and I never have. So that is a dumb reason to not buy it if you like it.

I think this grill is a nice upgrade, but with the removable plates how would you clean the heating element if you broil something? Most foods splatter. I think this grill will smoke more then the past three I have owned.

I think this grill is only for small families. You can only cook a couple of items on the grill and the broiling feature is questionable. I would be afraid the broiling feature would eventually stop operating. The only thing they added to the grill was the broiling feature. I would wait until they hit the market and see what happens.

I cook mostly for one but I love the idea of a countertop broiler.

I rarely use my stove or oven & have been pleased with other countertop appliances I use.

I didn't buy the TSV but I have my eye on it for the future.

@hockey mom I wondered about the heating element also . Just as I was thinking "boy that will be a mess" the rep showed how it has a removable /protective grill. I guess ol G.F considered that. Of course if it is too full and 'bubbly' it seems like it could still harm the broiler. I think I will wait for reviews from actual users.

This was my first QVC purchase in ages. We currently have a GF that is more than 20 years old. It's still going fine, but we've wanted one with removable plates. This price for this newest version was excellent. There are no reviews because this version with the broiler is brand-new.

I'm really not worried about it falling and breaking, and as far as cleaning the broiler, the rep did show how to do that. Besides, even if I never use that function, I still will get much use out of the grill itself.

I think the shipping cost was reasonable given the weight involved.

@suzyQ3 after you have a chance to use it awhile get back to us and let us know how it goes especially the broiler feature.

You will love the removable plates. As I said I have the older version but they are a wonderful innovation!
