BRUSH CLEANER-Difference between Brush Bath & Brush Love

Is there a difference between Brush Bath Cleaner (It Cosmetics) offered at ULTA & BRUSH LOVE offered on QVC. Is the Brush Bath an older version with ingredients that are not as skin sensitive as BRUSH LOVE? Would love to know the difference or why the name change. Thanks so much!!!

I have used the Brush Bath by IT. What works best: a drop or two of Blue Dawn dish detergent in hot water.

Wipe off as much excess material and then swish brush around in about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water and Dawn. Keep changing the water until it runs clear. Shakes and air dry.

Much cheaper than the $20 approx. for the bottled products.

I've been doing that for years, works great!

I have used both and for me, the one from Ulta had a really unpleasant scent. The Brush Love is also highly scented, but at least it's pleasant, to my nose anyway. I think I have read that there are some different ingredients, but they both worked the same for me. I still do a soap and water cleansing from time to time as I don't think these really deep clean.

I use the same cleanser I use on my face to clean my brushes -- Purpose Cleanser for Sensitive Skin. Works perfectly.

There is a difference in the ingredients in ULTA's Brush Bath and QVC's Brush Love.

I will post both ingredients for each separately below.

IT Cosmetics Brush Bath (ULTA):

Ingredients:
Isododecane, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Propylene Glycol, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Extract.

IT Cosmetics Brush Love Skin-Loving Brush Cleaner (QVC):

Ingredients:

Isodedecane, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Seed Oil, Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Methyl Undecylenoyl Dipeptide-16, Water, Lecithin, Butyl Stearate, Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Oleoyl Sarcosine, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Lanolin Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glyceryl Linoleate, Glyceryl

Myself, I do prefer one formula over the other for a fewreasons. I won't share my preference unless you ask me to@Mezzodeborah because if you are trying to make a choice between the two brush cleaner, I don't want my opinion to bias your decision.

For quickie daily cleaning I take a paper towel and moisten it with some micellar water then swipe my brushes across that several times until the brush comes clean.

Then for deep cleaning I wash my brushes with Dawn and a brush-scrubber silicone mat made for cleaning brushes.
