Pilates Pro Chair

Upcoming TSV...this is a remake of Susan Lucci's Malibu Pilates chair. Amazing that it is being brought back! I had to give mine up because it had full length arms up the sides that could be detached, but the changeout was too difficult for me. It was a good piece overall but very heavy.

@gatomadre, do you have any other information on the TSV....item # or price? I have a VERY old pilates machine, and I'm either going to buy another one or get this one. The advantage of the Malibu is the space factor.

I have one of these chairs in my closet and it looks just like this one except in black (no colors) -- mine didn't have those detachable arms.

I thought that it came with the removeable arms. Did read on a site (Amazon??, not sure) that some people had a hard time putting the arms in the holes. Several said that the arms didn't fit. Maybe they just decided to rework it and remove that issue. To me, it looked like it would be a nice addition.

I can't believe the $180., price tag on that thing. It looks about as complex as a step stool you'd buy at Target for $29.95. And people will buy it.

I have a chair I got from the OTHER shopping channel years ago. It is really nice and I use it every other day still. It has detachable accessories that you can use for your legs OR arms. It has a swivel chair that feels 'wonderful' on your midsection. It is lightweight, folds up, different tensions, and most of all...it was much cheaper. The seat is padded.

Exercise charts and dvd also included; however, I don't need to use any longer as I have my routine down pat. I actually purchased this because they DID NOT have another celebrity selling something. How refreshing.

I think I paid $129 for mine, with several videos and the arms! Too bad those arms were so difficult to put on and remove.

I LOVE this machine....I have the original and have used for 5+ years....It is why I have great arms at my age..It is easy to move, I leave it up all the time. Like the other poster I don't need any instruction anymore as I have all the movements down..(and I add my own)....I would love to get this new one, but mine is still great!

I might be interested but fear they will ship via LaserShip and that would be a disaster in my neck of the woods with something that heavy. Hence I'll pass.

I've been thinking that it's too low for me. It's perfect for Susan, as she is petite/short. But for the taller people, looks as though they are bending way, way over, which would bother my back. I'd like to see adjustable height option. (For myself) .......... But, for everybody else, enjoy! (I like the lime green and also the yellow.) ..... Edited to include a positive comment and to say that lying tummy down and using our hands on the pedals might be good for firming the shoulders/upper arms, which I need.

Does anyone have any idea if this is good for the spine or is it risky? I am very athletic and exercise all the time, but I still herniated a disc last year (now healed). I like the chair but need to be careful with exercise because I tend to overdo it...

Skyegirl: I'd probably first ask my doc, and never overdo anything, and start slow. That's my favorite motto: 'Don't overdo anything'. You'll be better off in the long run.

Where I live they have a gym that is fully equipped with all the exercise equipment. It is a great way to work out when the weather is hot. I normally walk everyday and love it but when it is too hot I go to the gym. I use to buy exercise equipment but after a while they collected dust. So I am fortunate that where I live this is the thing of the past.
