Masterbuilt outdoor electric grill reviews?

My dad has had this one for 1 year and loves it, he has a huge propane one he seldom uses now. He does use smoke chips placed in the bottom for extra flavor. I just ordered it because even tho we have a large propane grill it hasn't been used in 2 years. I have worn out a small electric one that has given me many years of use. Hope this helps.

I bought this the last time it was a tsv, and love it. I have a huge gas grill that I don't use now, as this works just fine, and doesn't take up much space.

My next door neighbor has one. He loves it. We have a big gas grill and it seems like such a hassle on nites when it's just hub and me for dinner. I might buy the TSV.

I still use my Webber for steak to get the wonderful char flavor and crust.

I'm kind of considering this. We haven't had a grill in years. It would be great to put my fish and chicken on that I usually cook on the stove.

Yes, I posted above that I did. It is great, and doesn't take up much space. I still use my Webber for steaks, but otherwise, this grill works for most everything.

You are welcome, winimac. I was hesitant at first, but because I was without a kitchen at the time, and I was cooking in my rec room, I decided to try this grill because I could do so much more on it than on the hot plate and microwave, and was happy that I did.

this is a GREAT item......about a week or so ago i made chicken kababs with grilled vegetables when it was below freezing. it does a very good job and the clean up is very easy. i made some rice, a salad, and some steamed broccoli to go with the kababs. i used it in my garage. love all of the features!

The George Foreman has a solid cooking plate. The dripping/grease is supposed to run off the grill top. The heat comes from a coil beneath. Think about a large GForman with no top. That's what you get. Must take apart to clean.

The Masterbilt has a traditional grate grill surface. As the meat cooks from the coil beneath the meat will drip below and create a little smoke. You can put a small pan with water and wood chips on the coils and have some smoke flavor.

Even though the George F gets good reviews, I like--no I love my Masterbilt

I've got one and have had it for several years. It's just my DH and I so it works well for the two of us. If more people come over we use the big charcoal smoker grill since it's got more room for more food. The Masterbuilt has plenty of room for what we eat though and it's so fast. I always disliked waiting for charcoal to get ready to use and this little one solves that problem for sure. I worried at first that there would be no "grilled" flavor if using the Masterbuilt, but I think keeping it closed when using it and getting things smoked well still gives it plenty of flavor. And you can use a pan with wood chips to give even more flavor. It's a winner and a nice alternative to messy charcoal.
