Nice TSV but I just opened the second bottle of the retinol fusion of a set I bought a couple of months ago and I just received the set of 2 bottles of the anti-aging cleanser which also came with a free jar of the mask. I like PTR products and I have the glycolic retinol pads as well. I do get compliments on my 74 yo skin. Haven't tried the moisturizer or the eye cream.

This is a really good value, but I don't understand why Amy keeps saying that this is the * very * first * time * PTR has done a retinol fusion moisturizer. That's just not true. I was on auto -delivery for years for a virtually identical TSV that had a retinol fusion moisturizer.

This seems like a pretty good value but I still have a lot of PTR leftover from a previous PTR TSV so I am passing. Enjoy it if you get it and I'm sure you'll all look gorgeous with some new potions!

I was on a/d for the serum a few years back then didn't renew it. I felt like my skin was looking better but not positive so didn't feel I should keep paying for something I wasn't sure about. My skin is old, 73, and I just needed to be assured it was aging slower with this. Hard to tell and hard to pass up this offer.

Blue tinted bottles will not protect light-sensitive retinol. I never understood why he uses those blue tinted bottles...and in dropper bottles, no less. Retinol is light and air sensitive. It needs to be in an opaque air-tight container or else it will lose effectiveness quickly. So essentially it becomes just a moisturizer.

Yes, that will help somewhat but there's the dropper, too. Exposure to air also destroys retinol's effectiveness within a few short months, usually around 6 months max and it's done.

If you insist on using the blue bottle then wrap it in foil just enough to expose the dropper cap. That will at least protect the product inside from getting damaged by light. Or you can transfer the entire contents to another amber-colored dropper bottle. Amber color bottles protect retinol from light.

That jar of cream is also a problem. I would never buy a retinol product in an open jar.

I see the A-D is every 4 months. That's about the time it takes for the retinol to start to go belly up.

I would be tempted, but I've still got a couple of the big Retinol Fusion bottles. They're stored in a dark place inside a box. Since I have one of those travel-sized dropper bottles, I just decant some into one of those to keep on my counter. The big bottle then goes back into the recesses of my closet.

@SilleeMee are brown bottles better. I have some travel size bottles of those in my stash. I kinda like having the actual name of the product on it though.

Yes, brown/amber tinted bottles protect retinol from light. But dropper type bottles in general do not protect retinol from air. It needs to be used up by the end of 6 months max, 4 months preferably. The air inside a dropper bottle, or any other non-airless container like a jar, will destroy retinol in a matter of a few months.

You can also wrap your blue bottle in foil.

Not a fan of PTR & don't buy his products. Are you sure about the tinted blue not protecting light-sensitive retinol. When I google this is what comes up:

Wow I just saw a young male model on the Q and they showed him putting PTR on his face. I love it and think that's a great way to reinforce that this is for both men and women. But I would have liked it better if they had an older male model. They are really trying to push this as being for young ages as well as older. Not sure how I feel about that. Do young people need these anti-aging products? Oh, and PTR's elderly mom looks great. I think they said she is over 100.

It is highly recommended to start with retinol in your 20’s. My kids are 21 and 23 and they both use retinol and lots of sunscreen.
