Question - Tatcha TSV

I bought this TSV and used it for the first time last night. Love it!!

I do not know if we are supposed to use this only at night or am & pm. Anyone know? Thank you.

@lovesallanimals I believe each product comes with "Suggested Ritual" instructions. Probably on the individual boxes, but also on a separate piece of paper.

I just checked the instruction sheet that came with it. It states to use the eye cream 2xday but does not state when to use the renewal cream. There is an email address at the bottom so I am going to send them an email right now to get an answer.

I have been using the cleansing oil and the rice polish for years and will never use anything else. This is the first time I am trying the renewal cream and eye cream and I really love it.

Well, I emailed them and it came back as "undeliverable". I just posted my question under the item. For the time being, I will probably just use this at night.

I think for me it will be the full routine at night with all the

dirt and grime of the day ....

Then .. as the sheet says ....just rice polish and eye

cream in the morning ....just the eye cream and rice

polish are listed as morning and night ...

But boy I do love it ....

I can tell you what I do, but I probably do something different from most! I use the rice powder almost every morning on a makeup-free face. Sometimes I use another mild cleanser just to mix things up. I've been using rice powder for a lot of years.

I've used the cleansing oil at night to take my makeup off. Right now I'm using another brand, but I do like TATCHA's.

I've never used both together.

Etoile308 - Thank you! just went to their website and it gives directions on the use of the product. It states to use day and night. I will probably only use it for night during these hot months as I wear so much sunscreen and working in the garden and getting dirty and sweaty means constantly washing my face so it would be a waste for me (as Big Joanie pointed out above). In the fall/winter I will use it twice a day.

I've been using Tatcha for years. Before the TSV was presented I posted if anyone had info as to what it may be, and what I hoped it would be.

I wanted the Ageless Renewal Cream, Ageless Eye, Essence, Luminous Eye, Dewy Serum, Dewy Cream. Dewy Serum Stick.

I thought an Ageless set w/any of the above extras would be great.

So I was pleased with the TSV. I purchased the exact TSV on AS a few years ago.

This is what I do-

eye 2x day, sometimes with Luminous Eye over, or alone. Luminous Eye is very good.

Began using Renewal at night, then changed to daily as well, sometimes alternating w/Dewy cream, and Dewy Serum.

I also love Dewy Serum Sticks-purse, kitchen, and bathroom. I apply all over when I'm in a hurry, or don't feel like putting on anything else.

See what your skin does well with, each day/night may need more of this or less of that.

I think how you use it just depends on what works best for you. I believe I remember them stating the wash/polish are gentle enough that you can use them twice a day if you wish.

I’ve had my set for a few days now, and I’m still trying to make up my mind about it. When I first got it, I tried using the cleanser at night and the rice polish in the morning, but that didn’t work too well for me. My face didn’t feel properly clean like it normally does. I’m now using the cleanser and polish together at night, and then another cleanser in the morning, which is giving me better results.

I know a big selling point with the polish is how soft it is supposed to make your face feel. I have always been one to use a washcloth and gently buff away my facial cleansers rather than just rinsing. I did not feel like my face was any softer with the rice polish than it is when I just use my washcloth.

The eye cream is nice. It doesn’t seem to have much - if any - scent, which I know is important for some people. It applies very nicely, and so far it hasn’t caused me any little white bumps under my eyes like some creams have.

The cleanser, while not enough to completely remove the day’s grime from my face, did an amazing job of getting my makeup off. I came home with a full face this weekend - primer, concealer, foundation, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, setting powder - and the wash completely melted it all away. Usually when I wash my makeup face, there is always a bit of eye makeup left behind. After rinsing the Tatcha cleanser away, I took a washcloth and gently rubbed over my eyes to get whatever had accumulated. There was nothing left to come off, which was pretty impressive.

The moisturizing cream was the one downer. It just wouldn’t absorb into my skin. I applied at night, and when I woke up the next morning, my face still felt greasy. I used it for two nights and had to switch back to my Elemis night cream.

Again, I’m still trying to evaluate how well it works for me overall and whether or not I think it’s worth the high price tag.

Thank you for your comments. I haven't started using my set yet. I have so many other kinds of stuff on auto delivery and I had just opened a new Peter Thomas Roth set.

To remove my make up I use the ELF Cleansing balm. I have tried so many and this one works the best. The Elemis cleansing balm was a huge disappointment for me. Then I go in with the face wash right now I'm using the Peter Thomas Roth and I really like it. I don't wash my face in the morning. I just rinse it off in the shower. But I thought I would use the cleansing balm at night and the rice polish in the morning. And with creams, I use so many different ones from my auto deliveries that I'll be curious to see what makes this one so special.
