Barefoot Dreams blanket TSV shedding

Shocked. Never heard anyone say this. Has anyone else had this problem with the Barefoot Dreams TSV from a few weeks ago.?

Are you saying yours is shedding? Which color did you get? My blue and white ones have had heavy use, and no shedding yet, but I have not washed them yet. My BFD throws from prior years have never shed.

However, I have had terrible shedding problems from their ultralight fabric clothes, and from the TSV cozychic light jogger set top from several months ago. That was the first cozychic light item which shed for me.

If it sheds enough to bother you, return it as defective.

I have washed my barefoot dreams TSV, and no shedding. Minimal lint in the catcher.

Yes mine is shedding after one wash. Shedding all over the sheets. I bought the cream/stone stripe.

I have had several pieces of clothing and throws...never shedding...I don't know if this applies to anyone...

No fabric softener and dryer sheets with anyone of the pieces.

I can't speak to this particular item, but yes, it has been reported in the past that some Barefoot Dreams items do shed excessively. I've never had it happen but others have.

It seems to happen randomly even with the same item. Some shed and some don't.🤷‍♀️

I don’t have the blanket but several years ago purchased a light gray cardigan in the cozy chic lite and loved it. I ended up buying a second one in a marled black color but didn’t wear it for a little while. When I did, it shed everywhere- on the top underneath it, on my car seat, on my couch, everywhere. I washed it thinking that would help. Nope. Too late to return. It was so weird since the other color never shed and still doesn’t.

@mia 2 Weird I bought the same one No shedding yet, but thanks for your post. I've been using it, but now I'll make it a point to do so even more just in case it becomes annoying before I could return it. I'd be unhappy because I really like both its current apparance and its cozy feel.

I haven't taken mine from this year out of the package yet, but I have one from last year and I've had no shedding. I don't think any of my Barefoot Dreams have shed. I think you should return it if you are having that problem.

Everything I've ever gotten from Barefoot Dreams never shed. And I have quite a few pieces. I wear them frequently during winter. I only buy their clothes. I've never purchased their blankets.

Save The Turtles~~Yes, my blanket is shedding. I need it so I will keep it. But I am very disappointed. I had heard so many good things about these BFD blankets. Therefore I didn't expect this problem. I have it in my bedroom so less of an issue but in the living room this would not be good. Love how soft it feels though.

I have several BD tops and cardigans, and a wrap. I have never experienced a shedding problem.

Send it back if yiu aren't happy.

i cannot speak to the blankets, but bought several pieces of BFD, cozy chic, lite and ultra lite. cozy chic sheds very little, lite - somewhat, u.l.- the absolute worst!!!

i wound up sending all the ultra lite and lite back to qvc well after return window. C.S.was fantastic. took everything back, received full refund + s.& h.

you will really notice the shedding when u put the piece in the sunlight and will see sparkly fabric. it gets embedded in your other clothes and almost impossible to remove. it ruined brand new clothes.

my advice if u keep: wash alone. tumble dry/no fabric sheet. i have read that when the garmet/blanket is washed multiple times, the shedding stops. but the garmet is degrading with each wash!

wipe out your washer, the lint is there and will transfer to next load.

i will say i was totally sucked in to the hype and did not realize, stupidly what it is actually made of, petrolemum. i have totally given up on BFD and will not buy another single overpriced product..
