There are so many of this same product on other websites for so much less. I don’t really see the need for them. I’ve got butane lighters & they last for a really long time. For those who order, hope they’re a good buy.

@Renata22 do the others have a double arc as well, to light much quicker? Are they powerful enough to use in the wind and not blow out? Also what are their ignition rates (ie, how many in one charge)? All things to consider to be fair and accurate. I personally don't know, as I haven't looked for any on other websites.

@beach-mom I'd assume I could buy a product that does the same thing for less, but if I wanted to use them for small gifts, I don't see many for that purpose and I don't see any at all that come with gift boxes or bags and tissue. And nothing I saw was anything but utilitarian. Too boring to be a gift unless I were loading a whole toolbox maybe.

As it is, I myself no longer have use for a lighter and I've done all the holiday buying I intend to do. Easy pass. Without an emergency, I expect my December charge card to show only supermarkets, medical co-pays, and utilities.

I've had one of these for the past two years. But mine is a different brand because once again, I only needed & wanted one. So for my $9, I remain very happy with it.

Mine lights extremely quickly and consistently. I've never had an issue with it at all, in the two years I've had it.

That double arc selling point is meaningless if it doesn't really improve the functionality of the product. I cannot see any reason for me to buy these. Lighting my candles, which I do every day, is already instant and effortless.

I really like these type lighters. I got mine a few years back, a different brand "EZLight" and love them. They came in 3s, too. I gave one to a friend who happened to be going camping the same week they arrived and she loved hers. She camped at the beach so they came in handy with the wind (it was in the wintertime.) She said she had no trouble lighting the campfires. The thing I like most about these are that they reach down into a candle, something a regular lighter can't do. If mine had stopped working, I'd definitely get another. The dual flame may be nice but I've had no trouble at all with mine that doesn't have this. I think this would be a nice gift to anyone who burns candles or who goes camping. They may be available at a lower price elsewhere but I do like the Halo brand; haven't been disappointed with anything from them yet.

I have no need for these but I think they would be a nice gift for some. I still use my old reliable Bic lighters, LOL. I' ve had them for years but I don't really have much use for them as I now have mostly battery candles. Even when I light an actual candle I just use a match.

Major pass for me. Rarely light candles, but if I do, we have about 3 lighters that are sold everywhere near the grill items. Easy peasy.

Take any pencil or pen ( that you "stole" from the bank!!!!)...

THrow it into your kitchen junk drawer, waaaaay in the back.

Open drawer five years from now, find it along with the dead batteries,the 100 other "gadgets" that were small enough to toss in there ,but had limited if any real use...

Throw it out.

There....saved you $40.00 plus tax for ANOTHER Halo gadget that is a solution looking for a problem... !!

...that had already been addressed since caveman times ( a match or one of those cheap long nosed butane lighters that last....FOREVER.... and are available everywhere for a fraction of the price...and large enough not to get lost in the back of said drawer.)

Practice with an old pencil or pen you already have, and save 40+ dollars!!!

And YES I know this isn't a pencil or a pen...just another small gadget that will get as much use as yesterday's 700 degree "pizza oven" .

I ordered a set of these. I like the idea of having one for a gift for an upcoming exchange - we have a $15 limit.

Also, I live in Florida and am a bit of a prepper with all the storms we have. It's good to have this as an alternative fire source to matches.

I bought a bunch of rechargeable electronic lighters on Amazon last year for around $8.00 a piece and free shipping (prime member). I included one with each Cheerful Giver candle we gifted people. They aren't double arching but our personal lighter gets used daily and it's still going strong.

I'm not looking to give this as a gift, so I don't need 3 (although I do like the pretty patterns/colors!). So I wouldn't spend $40 when I can get others on Amazon for about $8-9. Not quite the same, but I'm sure they serve the same purpose.

@DooneyGal2 Sorry I didn't see this til today. I really don't know much about these lighters. I personally love matches, love the scent when they burn. We do have a little lighter here that uses a spark. It doesn't seem to have the glow the ones on the tsv had, just a spark. I did find so many choices on other sites, I'm sure you could find whatever you are looking for. Some of them were $7 a piece or less. The ones on the special were pretty, but way more than most I found.
